I am having some really baffling problems with my eye sight. It started happening on the drive home yesterday and started up again today (both times while I was behind the wheel--not a good time for your eye sight to go wonky). Both times it was during a blood sugar spike/drop.
You know how both your eyes present one coherent picture? Well suddenly mine didn’t. Each would focus on the same thing but the image presented to my brain was a split screen----one side slightly off kilter from the other, just enough to completely distort it. Yesterday if I covered my left eye, I could pretty much see, today if I covered my right I could pretty much see. However it’s very hard to do this and keep your hands on the wheel. Yesterday it happened in the rain in the middle of rush hour traffic in San Antonio and it is only by the grace of God that I made it through.
In November I made an appt with an ophthalmologist whose earliest appt is mid January. I hope it does not happen again, at least not while I’m driving as it is already hard for me to drive to work before it is fully light outside. Please send me prayers and good vibes as I have no idea what this is or why it is happening.
