GIRL [in] TANKTOP
GIRL [in] TANKTOP is a card-based solo survival horror ttrpg, all about a gal surviving a space alien monster doing its classice space alien monster thing: killing people!
Draw cards as you fight for survival, adjusting your ending scores until you draw the Queen Of Spades and finally confront the monster itself! Multiple different outcomes can happen, fight for survival, look for ways to kill the monster, hope it doesn't find a way to escape, or perhaps find another side to the monster, one that you never thought you would consider...
Originally made for the 2026 Queer Game Jam over on itch!
Find it on itch, RPG Trader, and DriveThruRPG!
In a ship, stalked by a terrible monster, will you be its prey, its hunter, or will you be its lover?
Summer is almost over for my Koriko: A Magical Year playthrough. I estimate there’s about 20 prompts left for the game. I’ve grown to really like my witch, and the other characters too. Maybe I’ll play a run of Magical Year of a Teenage Witch with her next - if I feel like her magical year isn’t over. I think it would be fun to host a game of Cantrip in this setting, too!
Also, every time I think “summer is over….”
Organizing a little challenge for artfight this year to celebrate indie ttrpg characters! If you wanna join in -- all you gotta do is tag your indie characters #heartfighter on the site and attack at least one other indie ttrpg character (with or without the heartfighter tag!) ❤️🔥
There's also an Official Heartfighter tumblr and bluesky and will do my best to reblog all attacks with the tag to show off these awesome characters from great underrated games!
If you attack more than one, I'm cooking up some badges to earn depending on how many you draw.
Here's my artfight page, let me know if you want your handle added to the list of heartfighters! https://artfight.net/~wyllora
A musical, GMless ttrpg about being trapped in a 1950s sitcom.
Pilot Episode is one of those games that came about by looking at what the sitcom presents the world to be versus the reality. It looks at the cast of the sitcom and asks "what is your life, what are you like when the cameras aren't rolling?"
For me, it's also about looking back through history and wondering how many queer and asexual people persisted despite the illusion of the suburban dream put upon them. It's looking back at the women trapped in the role of the housewife and asking "okay, but what was your life actually like? What did you actually want?"
I saw someone mention that their Drow's palace (read: renovated cave system) in Silk & Dagger was so shitty that it didn't even have a spider pit. Then I blacked out, and when I came to, this was on my screen.
(If you're interested in dark humor sitcom shenanigans involving backstabbing BDSM-themed dark elf nobility and their maids/servants/roommates, then you'll love Silk & Dagger, which has an alpha version of the rulebook available right now! Coming from ANIM TTRPGs, the premier studio for indie tabletop games that put evil goth women in absurd situations, it has loads of mechanics for over-the-top characters navigating a variety of intricate social minefields in a deeply fucked up society. It truly captures the tragedy and comedy of trying to live up to social norms in a fun dark fantasy package.)

Just finished running Eureka! Investigative Urban Fantasy: 10/10 This Fucks Like Hell
Specifically, I ran the recently-publicized The Eye of Neptune module. (No spoilers here) I had two days to prepare and read the rules and the module... and that was enough. Not just because I'm a quick wit, either. It's an elegant game, and every player had also read the rules - so when I didn't know something, someone else did.
The rulebook looks intimidating, at something like 700 pages - but a full half of that is optional rules that only players really need to be aware of, if they happen to pick the options that engage them. Another half of what remains was irrelevant to the Eye of Neptune module - firearms, mostly, which are handled in deadly detail.
And the rest can be condensed to a few dozen pages because for all the basics, there's summaries at the end. Quick little checkbox lists that condense what was said in full to reminder-sized lists. These will exist for everything, but the game is currently a work-in-progress. I'd love to see a second document that is just those, separated out with headers, for reference use.
So yeah, two days to learn, no problems. Eureka is also good at failing inwards - a forgotten rule won't cause too many problems. But! Knowing them and using them leads to very fun characters who are a bit idiosyncratic and can totally win a wrestling match with god. Or cause all sorts of problems all the time. Frankie you will always be famous. With all or most of the rules in play, the game thrives in a way so few other games do.
It's also one of the most clear and explanatory systems regarding how to run it, which is AWESOME - the game is there to create an experience, and it does it great. I didn't read all the player sections (short on time) but it also talks about how to play to get the most out of it.
Just an incredible game, one that sets out to create a specific experience and absolutely hits the mark. Go subscribe to their patreon or follow them on tumblr. There's a link in their pinned post where you can also join the A.N.I.M. RPG Book Club where I ran the game (as a one-off) - they're about to start playing Eureka in groups, as it won the nomination this time. There's still a few days to sign up!
