Feel like going off on a tangent about bugs & specifically why wasps are actually super duper cool and you should be friends with them instead of treating them like hellspawn
Top 5 reasons wasps are cool
Wasps are amazing at pest control! They eat tons of pests that would otherwise completely kill plants and crops
Wasps are literally responsible for the existence and continued existence of figs
Wasps can actually learn that you aren't a threat, and will just live and let live. Sometimes they even show signs that they are rather comfortable around you (if you want to cultivate such a relationship, watch the wasps closely. If they turn towards you while at their nest or standing and flare up their wings, that's their way of saying "back off!" And if you listen, over time they will get more comfortable as they realize you respect their space and aren't a threat to the nest. Of course, if you anger a wasp nest it does suck, but you can realistically coexist with one as long as their nest isn't way to much in the way)
Wasps are pollinators! Despite how much people like to dismiss wasps role in pollination, it is a rather important one! They aren't as good at it as say bees, but they are helpful nonetheless!
Wasps are vital carnivores in their ecosystems, and do an excellent job at keeping populations in control. Wasps eat caterpillars, aphids, spiders (depends on species), and many others! Without them these populations would likely get out of control!
All of this said, wasps can be mean. But instead of seeing them as hellspawn who are mean "just cause" I want people to see them as the sleek warrioresses they are. Wasps live by live and let live, but unfortunately people can miss their warnings (either because they don't realize it is a warning or because the wasps size can make it difficult to notice) which makes them think you're threatening them. So I hope the next time you see a wasp nest in a place that won't really impede you all that much, you'll let them hang out!
If y'all want more bugs facts just say so, I have a treasure trove of facts (I plan to be an entomologist or arachnologist and all things arthropod are my hyperfixation) and would love an excuse to info dump.
I wanted to draw Ragapom infodumping to eachother like the Autistic dorks they both are. XD I love both the trope of someone talking and the other either listening loving or spacing out in love.

The Them - info dump
disclaimer: I'll be doing a lot of stating the obvious here but that's just cuz I'm covering everything which will probably makes this too long for anyone's attention span
Also I haven't finished this completely but I've got too much to do at the moment so I thought I'd just post what I have so far so it doesn't just sit in my drafts perpetually and I might come back and edit later
It's no mystery that The Them are adjacent to The Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse:
War → Pepper
Pollution → Brian
Famine → Wensleydale
Death → Adam
As we're reminded of it constantly throughout, starting with when we're introduced to them in Hogback wood at the end of episode 1.
Although it's easy to miss when we're first introduced to The Them Wensleydale is holding a potato and then near a set of scales as they stand round in shock watching dog appear. (we also know this because it's said in the book and also in the book when they're cycling to the airbase they stop to make their own makeshift versions of the things that were delivered to the four horsemen.)
I've circled the scales in front of Wensleydale bc idt they're very easy to see↓
Also Pepper and Brian are sword fighting - so War and her(/Aziraphale's) flaming sword & Brain is wearing a crown like the one delivered to Pollution.
Adam Young (The Antichrist)
In the book he is called The Adversary, Destroyer of Kings, Angel of the Bottomless Pit, Great Beast that is called Dragon, Prince of This World, Father of Lies, Spawn of Satan, and Lord of Darkness. Although in the series this has been shortened to The Adversary, Destroyer of Kings, Angel of the Bottomless Pit, Prince of This World, and Lord of Darkness.
Adam & The Omen
Adam is based heavily on Damien from The Omen which was originally a film written by David Seltzer in 1976 and was later adapted into a book also by Seltzer. Damien was adopted in secret by the American ambassador when his own son died shortly after birth and he was persuaded by the priest who worked at the hospital into pretending to his wife that this was their real son so he didn't have to tell her that her child was dead. This of course is what the baby mix-up with the Satanic Nuns of the Chattering Order of St Beryl was based on although I'm pretty certain that The Chattering order of St Beryl itself is based on Maria in The Sound of Music when she's pleading to the Mother Superior about allowing her to stay in the convent, which I'll probably talk about in a future post apart from showing you this video because that's of topic from The Them and this post is already going to be way too long anyway lol:
On Damien's 5th birthday strange things start to happen around him which I'm not gonna mention here otherwise I'll have to put a trigger warning and it's not strictly relevant anyway. But before anything does happen on his birthday, a big-ish black dog appeared and after that it stayed by Damien to protect him and others like that dog guarded areas that linked to him as his father attempted to find the truth.
So this is Dog the Hell Hound but without it becoming small and friendly.
There were then the films Damien II - Omen in 1978 and The Final Conflict in 1980 by 2 different people that followed on from the original. There are 5 total novels in the series, the first 3 being adaptions of these films. I've only watched the original film so I don't know how or if the others also inspired any aspects of Good Omens but I'd guess from the title of the last one 'The Final Conflict' it probably did (if anyone has watched them/has any ideas then lmk if you want!).
Adam was originally always going to be called William after the Just William novels by Richard Crompton that were published between 1922 and 1970. The short original story by neil gaiman that ended up being the foundation of our Good Omens before it was sent around to multiple people including Terry Pratchett was even called William the Antichrist!
Pepper
Full name: Pippin Galadriel Moonchild ⬇️
Peregrin Took AKA Pippin
This says more about her mother than Pepper herself, which is nice as we hear a lot about her mum and she has a bug influence on Peppers character but we never get to meet her
She is nicknamed Pepper because in the book her character has red hair and so many freckles that it has a pepper effect, also that her temper was quite peppery (as well as it making sense as a choice of name coming from Pippin)
Wensleydale
His first name is, or widely rumoured to be, Jeremy.
In the show when God tells us that the only thing that stands between Wensleydale and chartered accountancy is time, it makes it sound like that's because of his family or upbringing, especially as she also tells us that his parents had only ever referred to him as Youngster, emphasising their 'poshness' but in the book it reveals that they call him youngster in the hope that it might sink in and he might start to act more his age as he is described as being born with the brain of a 47 year old.
just a brief observation that Science + Nature magazines are part of the Week Junior (which incase you didn't know is a magazine for kids designed to spark their interest in the world). So I wonder if that's meant to be a specific link in any way? maybe it could link to how Adam reads the New Aquarium which is basically the polar opposite of a Science + Nature magazine which might link to how science and nature hold no bounds for Adam because he can shape reality and could show the overall madness of Good Omens as a whole in contrast with the real world??? (just throwing all my thoughts in) maybe it reflects the conversation The Them had about the witch who moved into Jasmine cottage when Adam doesn't hesitate to believe witches are real while Wensleydale is the only one to reject the idea (if only briefly) in favour of science? But if Aziraphale has them now does that mean him and Crowley stayed in touch with Them after the Armageddon flop?? That would tie in super nicely with a lot of fanfics out there
