i feel like the social implications of going viral or being popular has really ruined the art of writing or just in general creating.
like we see that same mishmash of tropes rewritten and churned out to the public like it’s new and improved fancy butter when in fact it’s the same damn butter just in new wrappers.
and it’s always from the same perspective, like damn switch the lenses for a change. explore the world through the eyes of the unfortunate, the lesser, the unconventional.
the rolodexes look like beige binders with not a speck of color, add some variation for goodness sake.
NOTHING IS CAMP ANYMORE 👩🏽🦲 AND GO BACK TO SUPPORTING SMALLER CREATORS
every time i enter the research phase of writing i’m like damn, i thought this was supposed to be a fun little word dump.
anything to be as accurate as possible….the tabs never end 😫
just got myself a mini rocking chair…writing and reading this fall/winter season is looking like something wicked
real r&b is back
being dyslexic really takes the joy out of writing sometimes, really breaks the flow trying to figure out how to spell conscious or if the line of dialogue i just did makes sense structurally.
i want to grow and build my community by the means of shoving norwegian troll dolls in your face (my writing), bake unscrupulous amounts of pie (drop connected lore easter eggs) and come back to share the wealth of a decades old brick worth 60 $ (rich people saturns joining you!) of human interaction. but it just seems like i’m walking into a room on fire with someone whose been shot, while holding a stack of pizza pie.
and maybe before the scene ends somehow fit in a kiss from a man that’s old enough to remind me of my father (and then tell him that after lockin lips)
it feels weird sometimes to tackle “taboo” topics when it comes to writing novels. i never want to be insensitive or misconstrue my perspective. but i also can’t help but be influenced by the environment, and it just ends up in there anyways.
to take it out or to leave it. like those stupid petal plucking games.
