Idk if I got too used to the 2020 generally nice and fun internet or what but people online are SO MEAN nowadays

Saw a video of a woman whose daughter died because of a deffective security equipment. All the comments were telling her it was her fault and how they would've never let it happen because they're so much better than her etc

One person made a bad tweet 10 years ago when they were 15? Everyone starts to dogpile them like a bunch of rabid dogs. Especially children being like "well I'm 14 and I never did anything wrong in my life bc I'm morally superior so"

Someone starts arguing with you and you politely tell them you're not interested in having a conversation with them? They go "yeah well WeLcOmE to the rEaL WORLD!! I'm gonna keep tagging you writing paragraphs insulting you for hours even tho you don't fight back because I'm really just proving myself in front of an imaginary audience and if you don't like it well just ignore it!! This is completely normal behavior and you're the too sensitive one!!"

Someone posts art or anything a bit unserious and/or on the opposite a bit too serious? Comments filled with "gngng corny CRINGE how dare you not be NONCHALANT"

Someone posting a crazy haircut or outfit they like? Everyone starts telling them "well uh I think it's UGLY and you look DISGUSTING but I said it's just my personal opinion so if you get mad at me for it you're the one being weird because it's my god given right to give you my bad opinion of your own body"

Someone posting fun food they like? "Gngngn but calories fat fat fat i'm skinny and better than you"

Someone really just doing anything they like? "Blah blah blah you're a POSER larper I HATE people like YOU!!"

Like ohhh my god. Learn to deal with the stress in your daily life in healthier way than go insult strangers on the internet and participate in that weird asf toxic power play I'm begging you. I promise the audience of internet users you think are reading your hate stuff rooting for you are really just letting out tired sighs and pitying you. The person you're foaming at the mouth waiting for their answer to your insults already blocked you. Go to therapy, touch grass, go to the club, smoke some weed, idk, anything

I'm sorry if I seem to be in a bad mood recently.

Last week we had a strange power outage that affected a large area.

When the power came back on, my house Wi-Fi did not. It took me multiple hours of using my phone to access the Hub's IP setting and messing around just to get it to reconnect again... And now something has happened.

My Switch and PS4 were connected to the internet. Now we can't access any of our accounts and none of our games are loading. THE SIMS 4 IS ON DISC AND IT'S NOT LOADING.

I can't even access the settings or Storage of either of my game consoles.

The Home PC connected with no problems.

My Switch connects to the WiFi, but not to the Nintendo Server. And again, no games are loading even with the Cartridge.

My PS4 won't connect to the internet AT ALL, even the Router doesn't see it. I even tried switching to the Ethernet Cable and the router STILL doesn't see it.

(Our Ethernet Cable is working, it's currently connected to another device with no issues.)

IF MY SWITCH AND PS4 ARE BRICKED I'M GONNA RIOT SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

Another life update, I guess :D

Overall the news of recent days were really affecting me and my state, but I started to draw again, and if I'm feeling it right I'm finally getting somewhere.

But now I wanted to talk more about circumstances around myself: in Russia there are tons of rumors right now that the access for the "outer" internet (meaning every non-russian web resource) might be shut down even on cable internet (wi-fi). There have been same blockings on mobile internet in big cities, luckily I hasn't been affected by them, but only yet. Those aren't the usual blocks, internet basically works, but only for "allowed services" (aka whatever gov has approved and it's a small list of russian basic services), no access for the rest of the internet. No, VPN doesn't help with those, it's a different scheme of blockings. No other solution exist.

Regardless, if I lose the direct access for tumblr, deviantart and bluesky and literally everything else, I will still try to contact my commissioners to provide the work I'm doing, most likely through my friends. Right now my focus is on saving the references and links, and a hope that whatever is coming it won't last forever (and preferrably will end as soon as possible, but we have this situation for more than half a year now and it only becomes worse, so...)

I will continue drawing and finishing commissions even without the internet, but as for what I'll do after I'm not so sure, and I can't plan anything really.
