Graffiti artist SKYE painted this mural of Paddy THE BADDY Pimblett @theufcbaddy The artist explained why he painted it. “Was heading out for a paint today, before I left the house a got a message from a supporter of #andysmanclub asking if I could paint this somewhere, big ups to the man @theufcbaddy for bringing more attention to the fact that more and more men are commiting suicide, I’ve lost a few friends as I’m sure most people have. #itsoktotalk,” he wrote on Instagram. “We all have our demons to battle, it’s sometimes alot harder alone.” Shortly after defeating Jordan Leavitt at UFC London on Saturday, Pimblett revealed that his friend had taken his own life and made a plea to normalize men speaking out about their mental health. ”I woke up on Friday morning at 4 a.m. to a message that one of me friends back home had killed himself. This was five hours before me weigh in. So, Ricky, lad, that’s for you,” Pimblett said on his post-fight interview. “There’s a stigma in this world that men can’t talk. Listen, if you’re a man and you’ve got weight on your shoulders and you think the only way you can solve it is by killing yourself, please speak to someone. Speak to anyone. People would rather — I know I’d rather me mate cry on me shoulder — than go to his funeral next week. So, please, let’s get rid of this stigma, and men start talking.” A portion of that quote was added to the mural. https://www.instagram.com/p/CgijbMMIWlb/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Friday Morning Positivity 🥰
You are loved, even if you don't think you are.
You are beautiful. You may think your not, but you are.
Someone out there is thinking of you.
If something didn't go your way, it's ok. Don't beat yourself up. Tell yourself it happened for a reason and it's something to learn from.
Try not to be so hard on yourself, we all make mistakes.
Remember, your doing great!
When you had a really good youth group this evening and you felt happier, uplifted, motivated. Inspired by the people, the conversations, genuine connections and being around like minded people and open minded people and thinking about possibilities.
But you also see something online that gives you that sinking feeling in your stomach that you get when your feelings are a little hurt. You know it’s completely irrational and you don’t really have a reason to feel sad but you can’t help but feel it and think about it and why/ how it makes you feel.
It’s really hard for me to not be afraid that people I’m close to don’t really like me. I get worried and anxious that they don’t care and are fed up of me and I’m just imagining that they like me. I’m scared that one day they won’t be there anymore or they will disappear and my heart will break and I won’t be able to survive without them.
Not sure if I’m in anyway projecting how I feel about things onto them and worrying ty at they are uncertain because I am. Or I’m bringing other stressed from my life into those relationships.
My life at the moment feels like a push and pull between these two kind of feelings and the sinking feeling has been the strongest the last week or so.
BPD makes every emotion so complicated and intense sometimes I hope I can be okay and find peace in myself and in my relationships soon
