I actually dont see fans criticizing them for this, either they mostly target the company for any qualms they have about IVE's music or they just ignore the dip in quality. The group is very much protected and not gonna face much criticism/controversy but the downside to this is the music can't improve without some kind of feedback in which the fans will hesitate to give.

Le sserafim: Unfortunately for them, I see a repeat of past controversies getting in their way of making a bigger hit song. There will be atleast 2 members that get accused of not improving in singing, dancing, stage presence or other skills. Likely being exposed for lip syncing again, or just hiding behind autotune and backtracks. Its really ashame bc i see the rest of the members actually working like dogs to try to make up for the others mistakes. Their hardwork will kind of go unrecognized due to the public's focus being more so on the ones not working as hard.

𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙮

what's interesting right away is that i'm not really getting much of her own energy here. it feels like her space was already occupied by so many others. what comes through is this very young, almost clueless girl, and then all these adult voices layered over her, telling her what to do, how to think, pushing her in different directions.. trying to find your voice and form your own opinions at 12? 13? in a world full of adults, is already a challenge.. but in this kind of manufactured environment it feels nearly impossible.

the cards show she stepped into the industry without knowing much about the world, let alone the entertainment industry. it's mostly giving the sense of a kid just trying to keep up, doing her best in a strange and overwhelming space she was kind of thrust into. at that age, you don't really know what you want anyway; everything looks shiny and exciting. it makes younger people very susceptible to external influences and voices, since there's nothing set in place to go against that.

the energy i get is “golden child.” wonyoung's parents, i'm strongly getting her mom for some reason, and some king of cups, seemed to have seen a lot of potential in her from early on; she had the foundation, the talent, the star quality.. they probably felt it would be a waste not to do something with it. she comes through as that child who just happens to be good at everything, quick to learn, sharp, attentive. that makes people want to place high expectations on her. “golden child” energy can easily follow someone into adulthood, breeding this perfectionism and pressure to always live up to an ideal.

i hate to say it, but something else i'm sensing, is how the people around her liked that wonyoung didn't necessarily seem her age. she had this maturity, the charisma that people read as far beyond her years. and a lot of adults liked that about her. it makes me incredibly uneasy to go there, but sadly, that's how the energy is coming through.

there's an image i'm seeing of a child being offered candy. glittery on the outside, but what's inside doesn't match the wrapping. and that ties to the saying that kept ringing in my ear through the whole reading: not everything that sparkles is gold. i feel like wonyoung's naivety at a young age left her open to being convinced that the idol life was glamorous and fun, with people around her promising she'd love it. but the reality beneath that glossy surface was much more complicated, and not something a child could fully grasp yet.

so i see wonyoung trying to keep things fun for herself at first.. there's this feeling of just trying to enjoy the moment, not thinking too deeply into it (again.. at 13-14, you usually just kinda live in the moment) she especially liked the community, and the friends she was able to find through the industry.

however, this sense of close monitoring and managing was already present from the very beginning. i'm seeing the image of wonyoung laughing with her girl friends (i got reminded of produce) but this stern emperor-type figure staring at them from above. meaning, as much as she tried to not take it extremely seriously, this influence the higher-ups undeniably had on her and the idols in general, couldn't really be ignored. it's like a scene of the serious adult giving the teenager a grim reality check, in order for them to understand professionalism and how the industry works.

i see wonyoung starting out quite openminded. a lot of ambition, excitement in terms of wanting to expand her horizons, being ready for new experiences. she's likely to have enjoyed the positive feedback and attention she got from the public a lot at first. it gave her a boost in pride. however, interestingly enough, i'm now seeing this scene of wonyoung's inner self slowly distancing itself from her public image, further and further, continuously.

the more eyes were on her, the more expectations everyone had, the more pressure added on top of her, the less secure wonyoung started to feel inside. imagine already carrying quite the self-critical nature.. and now layer on top of that, many nitpicking eyes on you at all times, just trying to find a flaw, or waiting for you to make some mistake to be negative and point it out; it made her spiral into this loop of feeling like she needed to be perfect, on top of her game at all times. she was likely getting extremely invested in monitoring everything and micro-managing herself constantly too.. felt this need to reach the high level she set for herself without fail, easily thinking she's never really enough.

this is an insight i remember getting for jennie too; the industry is everything but forgiving of emotions and softness. in an industry this fierce, it's not easy to remain gentle. you can't help but turn cut-throat yourself to a degree, otherwise people will cut you first. whether that's mentally, spiritually, emotionally.

wonyoung does seem to carry a compassionate and caring core, which can be buried underneath a cold exterior. it reads as more of a form of protection. she doesn't wanna be seen as someone who can be messed with, just because she's an emotional and empathetic girl. there seems to be this type of steel shield she carries at all times, in order to keep away the people trying to stab her. i also got the image of a vampire here. it's like the hungry people essentially suck out of you what's useful for them, if you allow them to get close enough.

wonyoung experienced the industry as one that thrives off of fakeness. in her eyes, it's quite literally a place full of manufactured “dolls” i heard, and whatever looks pretty and appealing on the outside will be sold..?

it's an industry fueled by people (i especially keep seeing ugly older men in my minds eye...) who're lonely and unfulfilled in their own lives, and therefore try to take from others in order to pour into their own cups. she also sees it as an industry that's willingly feeding into people's shallow fantasies, particularly in regards to parasocial relationships.

i keep seeing the image of a trophy. it's like in the moment it's there and beautiful and everyone admires it, but after some time, it gets rusty and people get over it, looking at the next shiny thing. she believes the industry lacks stability, “makes the wrong people famous” is what i heard, glorifies empty standards, shines the light on the wrong people, the wrong situations, puts money above everything.. it's an industry built on twisted values.

there's a lot of sht going on behind the scenes, that people don't know about. saw this in my jennie reading too and it's coming up again; talent, hard work or money aren't the only things giving people a push ahead in the industry. it's filled with dirty and corrupt people.

i can see wonyoung navigating this need of having to fall into the category of what the public expects of an idol, while also staying true to her own core values, which she's been able to discover for herself as she matured. this is something she sees as very important. not losing grip on her identity and her priorities in an industry that tries to stuff you into a box full of their own distorted principles. there's a surprisingly rebellious side here. she does things according to her own rulebook, and will in no way allow anyone interfering in there.

she's now at a place where she's fiercely protective of what she's been able to build for herself. rather than relying on anyone else, she wants to rely on her own efforts only, and firmly invest in her own path. like no one else will do it for her otherwise. i keep getting the feeling this girl strongly believes in hard work and consistency. while it might look easy on the outside, getting to a place this high wasn't easy, is what i heard. she might make it look easy, but it isn't.

she thinks the industry is again, looking one way on the outside, while functioning in another way underneath. it's like everything unappealing is stuffed away and only the pretty things come to the surface. it's dressed up as fair, justified, systematic; but in reality it's much messier, uglier, and crueler than it appears to be.

it's full of people lying, keeping secrets, moving in silence and manipulating people, narratives, results, etc. in order to get ahead. she carries this embedded mindset of not trusting anyone, rather than trusting too much. people just do you wrong, period. everyone is trying to save their own selves, and genuinely no one looks out for you.

i'm getting the sense that wonyoung knows a lot. like a lot. she's seen plenty and therefore has a whole lot of dirt and information on people, which gives her a sense of quiet power. not sure you could say people are necessarily scared of her, but she herself believes they absolutely should be, because she could air out a lot of dirty laundry if she wanted to.

she thinks the industry purposefully tears people down in order to get a story. it doesn't care about idols being actual human beings, only about the ways in which they can be of service. so what if the idols' feelings get crushed, their confidence destroyed, the lights in their eyes go out, their bodies are overworked? that only makes a juicier headline and draws attention. it's like even collapses and breakdowns are normalized. the industry profits off everything.

i'm repeatedly getting this theme of the industry wanting to.. dehumanize idols as much as possible. they only want what's useful out of them, the rest is bothersome to deal with. no surprise they're starting to integrate AI idols. beings who don't complain, don't resist, do whatever they're told.

at this point, she believes that in order to remain standing and healthy, you need not only thick skin, but also the ability and strength to walk your own path independently. you have to detach from what others try to feed you and understand yourself deeply first, otherwise you'll lose yourself in a selfish place full of people constantly trying to get their hands on you.
