I had deleted a post, but I can't stand to leave my dear @kaolin029 in the dark, so here's that crack AU I deleted.
I was thinking, what if Tobias had spent a lot of time with one of his teachers during his school time so far? We all know Tobias eats his lunch in empty classrooms, so maybe there was a teacher who saw him eating all alone more than once and noticed how he's always alone or with Rudy, and how even when he's with Rudy, he's less than enthusiastic about It.
They chat sometimes, sit in silence, and while at first, Tobias was put off by this teacher's kindness/care, (Luther did say the school was full of pedos), he eventually got unconsciously more relaxed around this teacher. The main reason is, they don't press him for stuff, and they just ask him a few questions.
I like to imagine, right this Instant, that there was a time where Tobias was panicking and trying very hard not to let Me. Edburt take over his body, and he unconsciously goes to that teacher's office, and they immediately notice something is wrong, so they try to calm Tobias down, guiding him through breathing exercises and stuff.
I also like to imagine they give him fidget toys in secret, with Tobias being very confused but instantly immersed and distracted by the fidget toys in question. Autism gang, yay.
The reason I thought of this is because of an audio and animation on Pinterest of random characters idk who talking with each other going a lil' like this:
Character 1: you want me to sign a friendship contract...?
Character two: *nods, holding a few papers*
Character one: *stares at 2 for a bt before sighing and extends their hands out.* Alright. Hand 'em over.
Character two: *smiles, looking down at the papers, which actually a marriage certificate.*
NOW OBVIOUSLY WHEN IT COMES TO THIS AU, IT IS NOT A MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE!
It's adoption papers. He's replacing Lucas for a better, more stable father that doesn't see him as a demon wearing his flesh.
