they're older, they struggle with their phones, their home is run down and their farm humble, they're not Hollywood looking, they have accents and kind smiles

the way Clark calls them Ma and Pa

these two found Clark as a baby in a field, they looked past their fear and saw a baby that needed love and they gave him that love, they did everything they could for Clark

they gave him love

and the Clark we see? he's a reflection of them, of hope and love and what it means to be human

they dont have a lot of screen time but they left an impact that you feel through the film

they're not Kal-El's parents, but they are Clark Kent's parents

Damian: why is Parker pursuing this red-haired woman, who does not seem to enjoy his company further than any other, rather than his friend, Osborn? Osborn has given multiple hints that he would prefer their relationship to go beyond platonic Jason: Jason: *glances over at Jon, who is reading a Daredevil comic on the other bed* Damian: should he not pursue Osborn, considering he is already aware that their relationship can withstand hardship? I like to imagine Martha and Johnathan did not know who Bruce Wayne was, like as a public figure when they met him in person. In fact, they knew him for years as just “Clark’s friend”.

One day Martha just goes “Johnathan! Clark’s friend is on the television! Oh . . . oh, my! I’ve been offering this man hand-me-downs for five years!”

Bruce's gaze sweeps over the 6 black haired boys at the table. He hasn't slept in 2 days, but he's pretty sure there were only four the last time he checked. Yeah, 4 black haired boys, one black haired girl, a blonde and a red-head... Right? He'd never live it down if he forgot about having two extra sons. He must investigate subtly.

"So... How is school going for everyone?" He asked hesitantly. Damian gives his usual answer about it being below his pay grade, Cass whispers something about her homeschooling, and the smaller boy (goddammit, what the fuck is his name?!) Says something cheerful about a school play while the taller boy with piercings (Jesus, is memory loss a part of being exposed to toxins nightly??) Just groans.

Then, Tim who is sat near the end of the table speaks up, "Can someone pass salt my way?"

"Ope! I've got it!" The small one says with a smile, stretching across the table to hand it to him with tiny hands.

"Im closer, I could have grabbed that for him, ya goof." The bigger one snorts.

Bruce blinks for a few seconds. His children weren't that polite to each other and saying "ope"? ....

"Oooohhh, you're Kent's!" Bruce blurts. Everyone stares at him.
