Checked out @jaleobyjose this weekend and it was delicious! We miss Spain so much so it was great to get a taste of it again. We split the Rossejat Negra (similar to paella but made with noodles and squid ink), croquetas, a salad with white asparagus, potatoes, and tuna, calamari with squid ink aioli, chorizo, and cauliflower. I also got the white sangria and @brett81014 got red sangria. A little pricey but amazing food!! We visited celebrity Chef José Andrés’ restaurant @jaleobyjose tonight and were delighted with the vegetarian tapas-style options that were on the menus. We ordered the patatas bravas with a garlic aioli, warm wilted spinach salad, a beet and goat cheese gazpacho, a vegetarian paella with cauliflower, mushrooms, zucchini and carrots and a Catalan beans salad with tomatoes and olive tapenade. We also ordered a ‘salt and air’ margarita which was so interesting with a salty foam! And who can forget the vanilla-flavored flan? Warm and welcoming ambience, knowledgeable staff and an air of authenticity.
