The kamoshida arc of persona is one of the best in my opinion for several reasons, how much more involved kamoshida is in the story, how ann, ryuji, the protag and Morgana come together, but my favourite bit is the "morally grey" feel of it all. Later in the game it's still a good story, and the feeling is still there to a degree but...it's not quite as sharp, especially with how they end up developing a no kill rule, which starts out as "they can't repent if they're dead" but slowly degrades into "killing makes us just as bad as they are".
The kamoshida arc has none of that, Morgana clearly explains that he doesn't know the full extent of the consequences of taking someone's desires, it could just make a person good or it could end up removing the entirety of what drives a person to exist, or just cause them to flat out die.
And ann, ryuji, and the protag all decide that that's something they're willing to accept. That if kamoshida dies, then he dies. And then like...that never happens again- it's like the Devs went "oh shit age ratings" and dialed it back, again I'm not saying persona 5 is terrible or anything, but I just wonder what it would be like if that morally grey feeling, of the thieves putting their own justice first come no matter what, stayed in the game
