okay so, the biggest hc i have About him and that a lot of People share is that he has a band
listen, I´m very passionate About this guy having one
his band is called Stale Rose
and he can actually sing decently, I imagine his voice sounding like Corey Taylor´s, the gruffness Kind of fits
and you can just feel his emotions while he sings, his Anger, his Passion, his loss, his misery
used to write fun Songs as a teen, but nobody liked them and they didn´t seem Right to him after all the shit he´s seen
so not only can he sing and writes amazing lyrics, he can also Play the piano, drums, bass and the guitar
he still can´t stand when People look at him, he gets extremely nervous in crowds and with strangers
his two Solutions to that are:
either drown himself in alcohol if it´s a sexy, willing stranger
or beat the shit out of the stranger who looked at him like he was a Monster
he already knows and hates being reminded of it
wishes he could be as Kind, relaxed and careless as him
if he wasn´t an idiot, him and Shanks would´ve been great Friends
has to Keep himself busy to avoid getting mad or anxious
mostly he tinkers on Things, but when they land on a new Island, he also goes around Fixing mechanical Things
likes to sketch and draw, can´t do it very clean and perfectly, but has developed his own rough style
not only does he write lyrics, but he also keeps a diary to distract him from his thoughts
so now to my take on his childhood:
i think he grew up without a dad and that his mom was an alcoholic prostitute who couldn´t take good care of him and neglected him
his love for violence came from the guys who beat him and his mother up
he didn´t hate his mom, just felt sorry for her
Kidd still feels guilty about leaving home and leaving his mom all alone
but him and Killer Always dreamed of running away together and in the end they did
is so grateful to Killer, he saved his life many times and is the reason Kidd listens to
Kidd had to work hard under a cruel captain who abused his Crew before he could leave and be a captain himself
he killed the guy actually
and the reason his apathet is captain is because he wants to Show that asshole what that word really means
it means taking care of your Crew, Standing up for them, protecting them, trusting them
Kidd Needs constant reassurance
not in the way that you´re supposed to tell him that he did a great Job causing an unecessary Massacre, but in the way that you should tell him that he himself is doing great, that he has come far and is a great captain
he Needs someone to stand up to him, be that Killer or anyone else
it gets his masochistic side going a bit, since he´s so insecure and others confirm that
but on the other Hand he really tries to improve and be a better Person and Talking back to him helps Gather different opinions
loves cats, cats are cool
has a sweet tooth for chocolate
loves cuddles, but don´t tell him
actually wears make up to remind himself of his mom and that he left her behind because of selfish reasons
he´s such a Baby when it Comes to Cold weather and he´s Always more grumpy on winter Islands
had an emo Phase and dyed his hair black once, Boy was he glad that it grew back to red.
the only Thing he likes About himself is his hair
he can sew and Always mends the clothes of his crewmates
Always goes to rusty old Shops to find good ones
meaning he feels Things more intensively than others
which is why he has such emotional outbursts
brutally honest, says what´s on his mind when it is
and he´s naive in that regard too
see, Kidd´s very insecure so when someone tells him they love him the rational side of him will tell him it´s a lie while the emotional side will tell him it´s true
and while he knows it´s not true, he just desperately wants to believe it
that´s why he had so many past relationships with Groupies
Kidd wants to be in a relationship where he can trust his Partner and is loved by them, he wants someone he can share everything with on an intimate Level, yeah he has Killer, but he wants someone in a romantic sense
but he wants a relationship too because he wants to prove to himself that he is capable of love
normally Kidd falls in love and it only lasts a week or so
he wants something that lasts forever
now, he´s not a fan of marriage, but he would give his Partner some trinket he made to Show everyone that they´re his
literally worships the old Generation
wants to visit all Islands they´ve been on and go to all bars where they drank
tries to get as much Intel on them as possible
fanboyed so hard when he met Rayleigh in Shakky´s bar

contrary to popular belief I think he prefers to stay silent
he only ever speaks up to someone if they Insult him, his Crew or the old Generation
cause he rambles a lot and it embarrasses him
collects wanted posters of his Idols
that´s why he hates new pirates from his Generation
they just don´t have guts anymore, they´re just whiny babies who do stupid Things and underestimate everything while overestimating their own strength

he´s more of a boob guy, likes all boobs no matter whether small or big
