Maybe for hybrid au a master who uses their nature against them but in a nice way?

For example if they feel like Fal is overworking himself instead of trying to convince him to rest, they just turn up the heat and give him a fuzzy blanket. Once he’s a puddle they basically just shepherd him to bed.

That’s the best example I can think of rn but if you have any other ideas for other gunboys please add them :))

Oh, he hates this. You know enough about his body to use it against him, and being forced to rest feels like a threat, even when it comes in the form of warmth and soft things gently coaxing him to let go. He fights it as best he can, but crashes every time, too exhausted to resist the instinct to relax once it hits. It feels like you're trying to trick him somehow, and he dreads that pleasure every time it comes.

Ghost

A makeshift nest in your office becomes his safe space. At first, it was nice simply because you made it for him, but the more time he spends settled and comfortable there, the more attached he gets. It feels safe to have somewhere warm and undisturbed to come back to, and since he retreats to the little nook whenever he's stressed or lonely, you always know where to find him. What a blessing it is.

Snider

At some point, you're going to get tired of the constant struggle involved in things like getting him to bathe, accept medical care, or other such Human Existence Ordeals. Then, you invest in a human-sized falconry hood, and it works. While the hood is on, the will to fight just vanishes. He doesn't struggle or get angry, and hardly remembers why he should be even once the thing comes off.

Kirsch

Scruffing him! It's a great way to get tantrums to settle down; as soon as you grab him by the back of the neck, his body goes limp and his mind goes fuzzy. All urge or ability struggle melts away, giving you a perfect opportunity to drag him off and get him to calm down somewhere private. He can't even hate that you're taking advantage of his biology, because the care involved feels so nice.

I absolutely love kirsch. Its not 100% clear right now because some of his behavior is seemingly contradictory, but I think what's happening with him is he's a parent to the hybrids but he's specifically a *synth* parent. Synths are created as fully formed beings who already have all of their foundational characteristics, but the hybrids start their existence as *human* children and must be taught to be synthetic.

So kirsch is trying to mold them into these emotionless, intelligent, strategic, rational beings. He bonds with Isaac because he wants to be a perfect scientist. He let's Morrow blackmail slightly because it helps him win their chess game but also because he believes slightly shouldn't care about his human connections. Even when he gives what sounds like a typical "parental moral lesson" to Wendy via the scorpion, I think it's ultimately about a emphashizing a logical/rational (?) Worldview.

Which is intriguing because typically you either get a story where robots are completely uninterested in parenthood, or where the robots are inherently human and able to parent accordingly. But Kirsch is a completrly alien style of parenting.
