I just realized that for your slave au, Rosi hasn't had schooling since he was 6, and that's if his parents weren't able to teach him anything while trying to survive.
How bad do you think his spelling is? And what does the Family think of it? Like, they'll teach him, right? If not for his benefit then their own so they know what he means?
Ahaha, it's BAD!! 😅😅 You probably already noticed it on the last page, but yeah — Rosinante seriously lacks any sense of proper spelling. Reading isn’t really his strength either. He thinks he’s doing ALRIGHT, but honestly, it’s a visible struggle... 😅 It’s always such an interesting topic — what would the family think? They all act like annoying big brothers: constantly teasing and laughing at each other, but the moment someone from outside the family says or does something (like mocking Pika’s voice), they instantly close ranks. And they really do want to stay on Doffy's good side, don’t they? So yeah, there’s some poking and snickering, but it’s never truly mean-spirited. I honestly believe they would help him — even if their attempts aren’t always super successful. I have this headcanon that after a few failed tries, it’s Law who ends up having both the patience and the right approach to actually teach Rosinante. And it turns out to be a really good opportunity for bonding. 😎🥹
