Of Nightfall and Good Mornings - Naruto Boys x Reader
One boy for every team. Let me know if we need some more of this.
Shikamaru Nara
You press a kiss to his mouth, drag your tongue slowly across his lower lip.
Shikamaru groans low in his throat, his hand warm on your hip, but he doesn’t move.
“Shikamaru?” You pull back to mumble. “Kiss me back.”
“Too much effort,” he mumbles back. “Sleep.”
You huff out a breath in annoyance. “You’re a dick,” you grouse and try to turn around, away from him. Shikamaru’s grip on you tightens immediately.
“What?” You harrumph.
“Don’t move.”
“Why?” You reach down to pinch the back of his hand and grin when he grimaces at the pain. “So I can kiss you and get nothing in return?”
“I thought kissing me was nice?” Shikamaru opens one eye to glare at you. “You said so before. You said kissing me was the best thing you’ve ever done.”
“Well, I was wrong.”
His grip loosens and you move, turn your back on him. His hand slides down to your belly and under your shirt, splays wide and warm against your skin.
His mouth presses against your shoulder blade, the whisper of a kiss.
“Don’t be mean,” Shikamaru begs. “I just came back from a mission. Shouldn’t you be all over me, glad I’m still alive?”
“You helped three Genins capture a cat,” you point out. “That was hardly life-threatening.”
“You haven’t met the cat yet.”
Your lips pull into an involuntary grin. “You’re an idiot.”
“I’m your idiot,” Shikamaru points out, finally lifting the arm your head rests on, his hand mere inches from your face, his wedding band proudly displayed. “See? I got proof.”
Rock Lee
“Lee?” You manage to snag the end of his suit from his grip and pull on it, hard enough to make him stumble. “What are you doing?”
“Oh, Love, you’re awake!” His voice is much too loud for this early hour. You blink around for a clue as to what time it is, though the sun hasn’t even risen yet. “Wanna join me on my run?”
“What time is it, Lee?” You groan, rubbing a hand over your face. “Why do you go on a run now?”
“I woke up,” he explains, gently pulling his green suit from your hands. “And since I’m awake, what better thing to do than be active, right?”
“But it’s so early,” you huff out a breath and sink back into bed. “And you woke me up.”
“Sorry,” he walks over to lean over you, blinking down at you with bright eyes and a blinding smile. “You usually sleep much deeper.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You never wake up when I go for a run,” he points out. “You don’t even wake up when I come back to shower before sliding into bed with you.”
You blink, trying to process his words. “Is that why you always smell so good in the morning?”
“No,” Lee laughs, “that’s just who I am. A flower of Youth.”
“You’re a filthy liar, that’s what you are,” you kick your leg out, hitting him in the thigh. “How long has this been going on? You made me believe you stayed in bed the whole night! And dragged me out for ‘activities’ right after breakfast because you’re such a poor, well-rested soul.”
“Sorry,” he leans in, chuckling, to press a kiss to your forehead. “I’ll make it up to you. Breakfast in bed today?”
“Hm,” you let your leg slide out slower this time, brushing your toes against his knee. “And I want to lay in bed for a whole hour after breakfast. Just snuggling.”
Lee’s face falls. “But.”
“No buts, your ass is mine.” You grin, waving your hand in front of his face. “You sold yourself to me when you said yes, remember?”
Kiba Inuzuka
Something wet, warm, and incredibly smelly moves over the side of your face. You need a second to realize it’s a tongue.
“Ugh, Kiba,” you wipe your hand over it. “Did you just lick me?”
“Wht?” You hear him, his voice thick with sleep. You realize with a start that he’s not touching you and blink yourself awake.
Kimimaru is sitting in bed next to you, panting excitedly. Akamaru’s youngest pup looks strikingly similar to him, though he’s got yet to listen. “Down,” you tell him, pointing at the ground. “You’re not allowed in bed.”
“Wrf,” Kimimaru barks, climbing onto your belly and licking your face again.
“Kiba,” you grunt. “Your grand-fur-baby won’t listen.”
“It’s our grand-fur-baby,” Kiba grumbles. Now that Kimimaru has moved, you can see him, his body pushed to the other side of the bed. His hand is outstretched, reaching for you, and although he’s still more asleep than awake, he looks pained. “Aw, are you missing me?” You ask, taking his hand, his wedding band cool against your skin. “Is that why you look so hurt? Because you had to sleep without touching me in some way?”
“No,” Kiba huffs playfully. “Kimimaru just kicked me where it hurts.” He shuffles over and presses a kiss to your lips. “But yes, how could you let that happen?”
“Excuse you? That’s your grand-fur-baby that doesn’t listen.”
“Ours,” Kiba corrects you, playfully licking your nose before sputtering. “Yuck, you taste like Kimimaru’s spit.”
“Sexy,” you snort just seconds before Kimimaru moves in to lick you again.
“No, stop!” You push his furry face away. Kimimaru whines loudly but you stand your ground. “Down! I mean it!”
Whining and huffing he jumps from the bed only to put a paw back on the mattress as soon as he’s down.
“No,” you insist. “You’re not getting back up. Go to your own bed. I know you understand me!”
Kimimaru whines low in his throat but does as he’s told, slinking away with his tail tucked between his legs.
Kiba slides into the now deserted space, pulls your blanket over him as he presses his chest to yours with a feral grin. “Hey,” he greets you. “You come here often?”
You groan and push his face away, though you’re not as thorough with it as you could be.
“You’re an idiot,” you groan. “Stop flirting.”
“Why?” Kiba puts his arms down on either side of you, caging you in. “It works, doesn’t it? I got you, love of my life, mother of my dogs.”
“Just kiss me,” you grunt, “I’m awake now anyway.”
Kiba snorts, brushing his thumb over your face. It’s gentle and warm and not at all in line with his usual act. “Nah,” he decides then, grinning. “You smell like dog breath.”
You hit him over the head with his pillow.
Sai
“Love?”
“Mhm?” Sai’s voice caresses your mind, barely able to penetrate your dreams. But you can feel his touch too now, a gentle caress down the side of your face.
“Love?”
You blink. “Sai?”´You yawn. “What is it?”
“You’re snoring.”
You shut your mouth with a click. “What?”
“You’re snoring,” he repeats, watching you with unreadable eyes. “It’s cute.”
“You woke me up to tell me-” You take a deep breath and rub your hand over your face. “That my snoring is cute?”
“Wasn’t I supposed to?”
“No,” you turn onto your side, your back to him. “Goodnight.”
“Love,” he presses closer, his chest pressed against your back. “You’ve never snored before. I was worried.”
You huff out a breath. “I got a minor cold, it’s fine.”
“Are you sure it’s fine?” His hands are cool as they roam your body, looking for something. You’re not sure he even knows what he’s looking for.
“Yes, Sai,” you yawn again. “I’m sorry if it woke you.”
He’s quiet behind you. “Is it normally not okay to point out that someone snores?”
“No,” you lean back into him, your anger sliding off you. Of course, he didn’t know what he was doing. “It’s usually rude… Well, snoring is considered rude. A nasty habit, I suppose, even though most people can’t help it. It comes with being overweight, or sleeping wrong, or, like me, being a little sick. No one wants to admit that they snore, even if they do and no one wants to be told that they snore, least of all women.”
“But it sounds cute when you do it,” Sai points out, his breath washing over you. “I haven’t heard anyone snore like this before.”
“You’re cute,” you catch his hand as it travels over your belly, your wedding bands clicking together. You lift his hand to your mouth to press a kiss into his palm. “Sorry for being annoyed.”
“It’s okay,” he presses a kiss to your shoulder. “I know you’re tired. I’ll let you sleep now.”
“Thank you,” you turn your face toward him. “But kiss me just once before I fall asleep, will you?”
“Just once?” Sai asks, leaning in. “That’s awfully humble of you.”
His lips are cool as they ghost over yours.
“Don’t worry,” you whisper back. “I’ll make up for it in the morning.”
