Comfort. Boyfriend au (Michael Clifford Imagine) Requested: no A/n: This is super short but I wrote this the other morning when I woke up from a nightmare -Darling Sneaking out of the bed and down the stairs after a bad dream that woke you in the early morning, trying not to wake your sleeping boyfriend as you do so. Turning on the morning news or some children's cartoons as you make your daily pot of coffee. Curling up on your sofa with your warm drink and a blankie until two hours later an still half asleep and off balanced Michael makes his way down the stairs. Whispering a swear or two loudly as he stubs his toe on something, only stopping when he looks up to see you watching him with wide, and sleepy, eyes. Causing him to shuffle over to you and flop not so gracefully by your side. Asking you softly why you were up so early as he maneuvers himself so he's laying on his back with his fluffy bed head in your lap. A concerned look clouding over his features when you say it was a bad dream and that you didn't want to wake him. Casting your gaze the the little section of his hair you has been twirling around your finger when he lets out an almost disappointed sigh. One of his small, rough hands reaching up to cup your jaw to move your focus back to him. His feather like touch didn't leave once you were looking back at him, waiting for him to speak, but rather stayed pressed against your cheek as he spoke. "You should have woken me up, I would have listened to what happened and tried my best to comfort you. If that wouldn't have helped at least I could have held you until you were calm enough to fall back asleep. Next time please don't hesitate okay?" His voice softening again as he gently rubs his calloused thumb over your lips. "I love you."
