Severus was much more careful nowadays than ever before. There were many people watching from every corner - paranoid, fearful, uncertain, and so much more. Thus, he had taken to walking primarily in the shadows, blending in with his darker clothing and black eyes. And, when he could and absolutely needed to, apparating from his home to his destination. Especially when he didn’t want to be discovered by his new comrades.
Which was exactly what he did that led him into the lobby of St. Mungo’s. With him, Severus had a large, wooden case was in his hands. In it contained various elixirs and healing solutions he had freshly brewed that morning. While he explained such to Madame Pomfrey, Severus’ eyes gazed around only slightly. Although she brought his attention back, distracting him, “Yes, on behalf of Professor Slughorn,” he paused, “and myself as well.” He watched as she gestured him to follow, going up the stairs and levitating the box of fragile items beside him.
He had come with a mission well on his mind. From their last meeting at one of Slughorn’s parties, Severus had not only made a sort of truce with Lily Evans, but also learned that she wasn’t exactly, entirely, happy with her situation. She wanted to brew - one of the many talents she possessed. So, packed with everything the hospital would need, Severus included vials of essence of dittany - and extra ingredients to make more. It was very hard to come by, and even harder to brew. Although, he always carried a vial on his person, aware of the many dangers surrounding them. And so, he knew, very much still caring for the Muggle-born girl, that this would prove most useful to her. After all, they did agree on a peace-offering, had they not? He wondered just how long it would last...
