NANCY DREW → 1.11 - The Phantom of Bonny Scot
On hitting 180 followers (aaah!), I've decided to venture out of my writer's block. So hit me with stuff you'd like me to write more fanfic on...

Bess, introducing Lisbeth: This is my better half.
Nick, introducing George: This is my bitter half.
“She discovered me as I never imagined”
“Okay, almost ready. Um... You, can you give me a hand, please?”
Nancy Drew and why it fucking rocks.
One thing that I've always loved about the CW is their representation and attitude towards diversity. Nancy Drew is a prime example of that. Not only do they stray from the real series a lot, (I've read every book) they add in modern elements like the paranormal, and in doing so, they bring in different cultures as well. For instance, last episode we saw McGinnis practice spirituality handed down from his Native American tribe. They didn't have to do that, but they did. And that's what I love about the show. They didn't have to make Nancy and Nick's relationship interracial. They didn't have to make George of Chinese descent, or Bess from England. And they certainly didn't have to give Bess a female love interest. And I love that they did. It's so normal, too - there's not even a little question among the Drew Crew when Bess gets involved with Lisbeth, or when Nancy dates Nick. No one cares. It's not a problem. AND THAT RIGHT THERE, THAT'S PERFECTION.
