Nah, my friend, you’re missing the point. See, people like to point at Sans and say that about him (especially Flowey), but Tori sees something different. She sees that lazy sloppiness and beneath that the guy who is feeling like giving up. The one who smiles and carries on for everyone around him while inside he knows nothing he does has a purpose. She sees that and knows that he put in EFFORT for her. He BAKED a pie. (I have tried to bake a pie, btw, not exactly easy. Yet he at least tried to make one. Who knows how successful it was, since Papyrus thought it was a sugary quiche.) He started collecting socks because of her. (That’s right, Papyrus states that Sans’ sock collection is a new thing. So was his hanging around the door. And the snail-shaped pasta shells he bought.) Sans was doing small things for her/because of her and putting in effort for her.

She didn’t see him as a “living trash can” but as her friend who was hurt but trying. She saw this in him as she too has been hurt but still keeps trying. Their pain might be different, but both see this in each other. That’s why I love this ship so much. Both have their pain and both try to make the other happy and in the process, they heal each other.

i think i might be the only person alive who thinks that while overall, the sumo (as in pokemon sun/moon) anime looks like it’s good in every other respect, I actually outright hate the animation style of curves and rounded, less pointy edges and generally softer look that it has and I cannot understand why on earth it needed to be changed when the anime had been going on for the entirety of canon perfectly fine without changes.
