Today marks the beginning of week #4 for me since surgery. I'm feeling a ton better and I've been able to start back up at school on Monday. I have a very full schedule again this semester, story of my life really. But what's new to that is the fact that I did add two P.E. classes! I'm taking low impact aerobics and individual weight lifting. I figured it would be a good supplement and a way for me to get my workouts in on a regular basis. These are offered twice a week. Of course I plan on adding more as I get further out.
I've been eating some of the same staple foods and some new ones as well this week. I made my homemade meatballs last night, which are excellent and a good thing to have around the house. I've also been eating refried beans, avocado, and sour cream as my mexican dish. And of course I have been taking pureed fruit pouches with me on the go. I've also figured out that I can stomach decaf coffee with milk. So this morning I put that all together with a scoop of EAS chocolate protein powder. This makes my morning coffee (which I used to love so much) 25 grams of protein!
My menu for the day usually consists of the following:
Breakfast- One egg and 8oz of milk or crystal light (later on)
Snack #1- Fruit puree pouch, usually banana + blueberry
Lunch- Refried beans, avocado, and non fat sour cream
Snack #2- Fruit puree or oatmeal 1/2 cup
Dinner- 1- 1 1/2 meatballs and a small scoop of mashed potatoes (usually about 1/4 of a cup.)
Naturally I also have to worry about fluid intake, so I've been keeping crystal light and water on hand. I don't usually hit the 60 oz goal for the day, but I tend to get in around 32-40 oz.
I had a tiny stall around week 2/3 of about a pound or so going up and down, but I think I'm past that for now. I'm loving what this sleeve has done for me so far and I'm really excited to see how I look as I get further out.
