i can’t tell if you’re making fun of me/of tone indicators or if you’re in earnest
not incidentally, /rh or /rt is “rhetorical [question]” and /g or /gen is “genuine [question]”
i feel awkward using these things since lots of people don’t know what they mean, but, i do also frequently find myself having to clarify whether i/others mean a question genuinely or rhetorically, so it seemed worth a try
still annoyed the “rhetorical” one only applies to questions tho

THEY TEACH THAT SHIT IN THERAPY? WHY THE HELL DIDN’T ANYBODY SEND ME TO THERAPY
yeah my dude, cognitive behavioral therapy (cbt) and dialectical behavioral therapy (dbt) are all about relearning how to think about the world! so it’s like, if you have a tendency to catastrophize, one of the ways to combat that is to look at the situation and say, “the worst outcome is this,” which helps you 1. be prepared for that outcome, and 2. realize it’s not as bad as it sounded before.
idk all what they use cbt and dbt for (in my experience, it’s mostly for borderline personality disorder), or what you’ve got going on, but it may be worth it to like google some of the stuff and see if anything else applies to you.

The girl ones actually, I unexpectedly like them better and believe they do a better and funnier job
yeah, exactly, there's more than one girl one.

what a moron. Bet the vet fee imo.
Right now housemate spent all day cleaning the balcony so he could get his cats to live out there for a week, hoping for a reset on the whole issue if they’re in a smaller space or something? When it fails I’m planning on just being like, my guy, a vet consult is $70 up the road, I will give you the money, please do it for my peace of mind, look at what a good and helpful person I am trying to solve your problem. And hopefully that is like, the lowest-drama way to handle this situation.
@manyblinkinglights replied to your post “Hey, does anyone happen to know of any research into if people still...”
I sat here and thought about it and tbh I think it's vanishingly slim that we'd ever get there, but biologically I think it's dece feasible.
I feel like this must be a historically weird opinion to have!
I’d love to see comparisons with previous generations, or even the currently living generations by cohort. But I haven’t happened upon any surveys of “do you believe death is still a thing? pls explain” ...presumably because it would have been like polling “do you believe in air” until recently.

!! I can make it! What do you plan to do?
!!! Awesome! I don’t have any set plans for activities except that Delling is taking me to the Mall of America at some point. They’ll be working from 8-4 on Saturday and Sunday, so I’m totally free during those times. =] (You could probably also hang out with me AND Delling at some point if desired, but those are the times I know I can hang.)
