I don’t know if you gotten a chance to watch marvel zombies but it was devastating to see everyone die in the show 😭 can you do a story where reader has a nightmare about that universe and Kate (their girlfriend) is there to comfort her

"No, no- KATE!" You watched, helpless as you were pulled away from the fight against the zombies. Your girlfriend was...

Before you barely even had time to process what had happened, you woke. Sitting bolt up right and panting. Looking around you in panic for your girlfriend. Kate Bishop. Who had fallen asleep next to you, but was now nowhere to be seen. With the nightmare fresh in your mind, you didn't register the closed bathroom door. Or the light shining from just underneath.

"Kate-? Kate! KATE!" You shouted, jumping from the bed and instantly snatching your girlfriend's bow. Which of course, Kate always kept close by. You loaded it and got ready in a fighting position. Adrenaline coursing through your veins, eyes wide and frantic.

The moment the bathroom door opened with a click, your head snapped around and you shot the arrow. It simply bounced off the wall, not enough force behind the shot to keep it there.

Kate paused, blinked and stared at you.

"Let's all be thankful for your terrible aim in archery. Wow. Close one," she sighed. Walking over and gently taking the bow from you, she knew the signs. Your quick breathing, frantic eyes. The sweat coming down your forehead and of course, the way you were shouting her name like you lost her. You'd had a nightmare and she wasn't by your side when you woke up, sending you straight into panic mode.

She wasn't mad about the arrow, she would never be mad at you. Kate was smart enough to know it had all just been instincts.

"Breathe, come on. Sit with me," Kate guided you back onto the bed as you took a deep breath. Relieved by the sight of her. Kate was safe. She was safe. Not... you shivered as the nightmare flashed through your mind. It had all felt so- real. Like another world. Man, were you grateful that that wasn't your world.

"I-I'm sorry," your voice had a tremble, but Kate would never judge you for showing fear. She took a strand of your hair and tucked it behind your ear, cupping your cheek in her hand.

"Shh, you have nothing to apologize for. Now wanna tell me what made you freak out and turn all- Katniss Everdeen on me?" Kate teased gently, in an attempt to lighten the mood. Giving you a playful nudge that did its job, getting a smile and breathless laugh out of you.

"A... really, really bad dream," your head rested to her shoulder and Kate held you close. Kissing your forehead," you died."

"It was just a dream," Kate assured, lifting your chin so your lips met in a kiss. Then she parted and smirked," see? I'm very much alive. Can't kiss a ghost."

You rolled your eyes at her words, but they held a that certain charm she had that could make you relax. Soothe you in an instant.

Yeah, she's right. It was just a dream. You had Kate here with you. There wasn't anything to worry about.

You know what I've never really thought about in depth or really just acknowledge at all

Is that my favourite hero as a child was Hawkeye. I fucking love him

Ever since I was little and I watches Earth's Mightiest Hero's (if you've seen that you are a real one) and I loved him

It really annoys me when he gets shit from the fandom for being the useless Avenger because the MCU didn't give him any of his awesome backstory or powers. The make him seem powerless he isn't as completely useless as they make him out to be. He isn't just some guy with a bow.

He has acute sense and pin point vision. He is expert acrobat (from his time in the circus which the didn't reference at all in the MCU) and is a military trained combatant - like Bucky and Steve. He is also a master assassin (which the touched on in the beginning of Endgame and Hawkeye)

Give my boy the respect he deserves! Like I didn't even realised how much I loved him until I remembered that year when I asked my parents to buy me a NERF bow and "arrows" for my birthday one year

How had I forgotten he was my favourite?

My poor purple boy.
