Author’s note || this has been a draft for about five or more months now. It’s another draft of mine on Wattpad where it’s actually an oc. So, it may be that there are a few things that could describe the oc.
She landed in silence. Just one second ago she was walking on a sidewalk toward a bus stop, starring at her phone, watching the reporter still talking about the event that happened a few weeks prior.
Then out of nowhere, in a blink of an eye, she found herself in a clearing. Confusion filled her, scared at the same time. Not only had half of the planet vanished few weeks ago, but now she finds herself in a whole different place. Like damn.
The girl found herself surrounded by huge trees and healthy-looking plants, waterfalls running down the hills in the distance. A wooden house is some distance away from her. Around it were some plants planted on the ground and growing.
With caution she approached the building. Her phone now packed away in her pockets with her headphones. Beneath a tree she saw a large figure sitting. For a moment she only studied it, before going toward it.
The skin of that person was as purple as the beautiful lavender that she remembered. Head tilted toward the beautiful blue sky, his hands on his knees. Then she recognized him.
Thanos.
The man that has wiped out half of the universe. And yet, he seemed so peaceful. As if he hadn't did anything wrong. As if he hadn't destroyed millions of lives. Gathering her confident, she approached him this time. The man didn't even flinch when she began to get near him. No, he didn't even turn his head. The young girl now only stood about a few paces away from him.
"Are you here to kill me?"
Those were the first words he said to her. His voice was full of sorrow and raspy. A hint of desperation lingered in between it. The girl’s eyes widened as she proceeded what he asked her. Quickly coming back to her senses she answered simply with a, "No?"
"Wait- why should I do that?" The teenager was taken aback. However, the titan still looked up, not breaking his gaze toward the sky. The silence was suffocating for her. Not getting an answer she asked this time. "Where am I?"
Unfortunately the male didn't answer again. With a sigh she stepped even closer to him, and with some courage she sat herself beside his massive form. Hesitated she studied his face. The scars that covered half of his body, the tired look in his eyes.
After some moments she carefully took her phone back out. The teenager then saw that she had no signal. Of course, she thought, another sigh leaving her lips. She then put it back into her pocket. Bored out of her mind she looked at the titan again.
"Soooo... how's life?"
This time she wasn't surprised that she once again didn't get an answer. "Well, mine has been frustrating. You see, I had this big test coming up that I've been studying for about two weeks. And now- it's fricking delayed. Yeah! I can't believe it. And all because our professor also vanished."
But, the now slightly annoyed man stood up from where he sat. Her eyes followed him as he went to the house. Without thinking she quickly followed him. Trying to keep up with his pace. Entering the building, she admired the simple, but warm layout.
In the middle stood or rather hang a kettle above a fire. He took a big spoon and poured some kind of soup into a bowl. He took a second bowl, also filling it. Seating himself at a table he set both of them on top of it. Another chair was opposite from him. Without waiting he started to eat the soup in silence.
Looking around again she approached the table. With difficulty the female managed to sit on the rather tall chair. Glancing at him, she took the spoon next to the bowl to start eating. The soup was green and creamy. She starred at it disgusted.
Even so she ate it, her eyes closed in fear of any disgusting taste. However she was surprised. It tasted healthy, like broccoli and zucchini. But at the same time it had something sweet in it.
"That's delicious. What's in there?" She hummed, smiling up at him. She was met with silence. Asshole. She surpassed the urge to roll her eyes, and instead ate the left from the soup that was in her bowl. It only took her a few minutes to finish the food.
"Ahh.. that was some good food I had in some time!" She exclaimed happily, "Good soup." The smile reappeared on her face as she remembered the old meme that went popular some time ago. She got pulled out of her memory when the titan stood up from his seat. The empty bowl in his massive hand.
He went toward an even bigger bowl. It resembles a sink, but just made out of wood instead of metal or plastic. Thanos just laid it inside and went toward the exit. The human looked after him, debating if she should follow him. Shrugging her shoulders she did the same as the titan.
Outside she looked for him. She was surprised as she found him working or rather taking care of his plants. Odd. The female sat herself onto the steps of his house, bored out of her mind.
After some time her attention was caught by a shiny stone on the floor, or rather between the fresh grass. Not paying any mind to the working titan, she moved to the mysterious object.
It was tiny, barely as big as her pinky. The stone was blue, as blue as the ocean. Cool. Holding it toward the sky she closely examined it. It had something on it, something mysterious. She couldn't place it.
A giggle escaped her lips as she placed it into her pocket. She could make a necklace out of it, she briefly remembers how her elementary teacher taught them how to make one with a stone.
She sighed as she looked around. She couldn't do anything, her phone had no internet and she had no apps she could use without it. Though, she could try to talk with Thanos. The young adult doesn't really hold any grudge against him.
How could she, she didn't have anyone she could lose. Well, only her history professor who was somewhat nice to her. She also kind of understands him, humans are cruel and disgusting. She doesn't even want to know how others species are acting, that Thanos wants to erase half of the universe.
The girl was never into aliens or anything magical beyond the planet earth. Bloody hell, she couldn't care less every time some kind of new alien came to their planet. Not even when some gods came. She had to care for herself, she hadn't had any time to care about such things.
No, her parents aren't dead and they aren't abroad or anything. She just simply had no real connection with them. She just would spend most of her time at friend's places or working at the store some blocks away.
And this is how their lives went on for the next few days. It was boring, for the young one. She would watch the titan most day or explore the nature. But, not too far away. She even got to talk more with the old man, even if it was mostly only her doing the talking and him ignoring her.
-
Her eyes went toward where she has last seen the purple titan. He was now planting some new... seeds? She couldn't really place if those where really seeds or some kind of fruits. Not like she cared.
Without thinking about it she stood up and wandered to him. Standing behind him she stared at his bald head. Did he ever had any hair? She tried to imagine him with any hair style, but it never suited him or her fashion taste.
"Stop starring." His voice boomed over the fields like a hurricane. The girl narrowed her eyes and took a step to the side. She now could look at how he planted those... things. Debating if she should ask him, she chose that she should. "What are those?" She knew that she shouldn't hope for any answer, but was surprised that the man answered.
"Nigella seeds."
Yes, she was happy that she received an answer, but she has never heard of such before. She could only hope that it wasn't anything poisonous. Welp, I should have listened in biology. Not wanting to seem like she didn't know what those are, even though she doesn't, she nods understanding. Plopping down onto the earth beside his kneeling form, she watched him with bored eyes.
"Geez. If I had known I would be stuck in some random place with you, I would have brought some games. Or maybe beauty masks, to relax and smother your skin. Because damn, your skin looks as dry as the Sahara desert. My aunt always said that too dry skin isn't good for your health, that's why she would have a mask on almost everyday. Let me tell you, that woman is paranoid as hell."
Finally having a subject to talk about, she didn't notice the annoying look the purple creature send her. Or she just didn't care. She talked about her school, and how annoying her classmates were, how she's glad most of them are gone now. The younger one then told him how she spend her last vacation with her family in Spain.
And even when he stood up after some minutes, she followed him. Not planning on stopping. Her topic then went to dimension, her least favorite subject. How it didn't make any sense that there are other version out there of people.
Out of habit, and without thinking about it, her hand went to her pant pocket. Actually wanting to take out her phone to show him some photos, even though he didn't seem to be listening.
Instead, her finger graced the stone she found on the floor. And that was it. That small contact to interrupt her talking session. Because, something that looked like a portal opened under them. It didn't even take a second for them both to fall into it. The girl screamed out of pure panic. Not realizing that she never fell.
No, she sat on the floor. She only fell to her knees out of shock. Thanos who was beside her seemed alert. His eyes went to her. "What did you do?" The giant was perplexed. One second ago he was at his garden, and the next he was in a random place. This time he was the one didn't receive an answer.
To the teenage's surprise she actually didn’t land on a floor. Nope. She was floating in the fricking air with Thanos. And the place was weird.
It was enormous. And not something you would see very day. It was like two walls stood parallel to another and didnt have an end. The walls were also not normal, rather, they looked like they were made out of diamonds. Or just some kind of hard element. For the female's taste it was to bright and shiny.
Out of nowhere a figure was before them. And that made her let out a loud scream. Silence. Both figures before her looked at her weird, that made her uncomfortable. The teenage let out a little 'sorry'.
"Who are you?" Thanos asked the figure. This made her look up again. She regretted it. This dude looks like Donald trump without hair, to her shock the man looked at her in shock. "I'm not Donald Trump." He basically spit out.
One of her eyebrows arched up as she send him a suspicious glare. "My name is Uatu. I'm the watcher-"
"Creep."
Thanos looked at her annoyed. He had to hold himself back not to strangle the girl. The orange man looked like he already aged ten years. His mouth opened but no sound came out. Till he sighed like an old man and shook his head.
"No... I observe the multiverse. And this here is the observational plane. How did you get here. You mortal beings shouldn't be able to get here." The older of the two was not able to respond as he was cut off by the girl.
"Honestly, we have no clue. We were just chilling around in his garden, talking and such, and suddenly we are we. To be honest, you should know why we are here. Since, you are the watcher after all." That girl has completely forgot that she touched the stone in her pocket.
Uatu thought for a moment before looking at the purple skinned man. Thanos only nodded, confirming what she had said. Though, the Watcher made a mistake. He looked away from the young woman.
"Ohh! What is this?" She let out excitedly. Her face barely a few inches away from one of the walls. Her eyes practically glued to it.
Thanos let out a sigh, even if it sounded like a deep rumbling. With caution steps in the air, and a glance toward Utua, he stopped beside the girl. The titan pulled her back so he could also look at what she was staring at.
"Time. Space. Reality. It's more than a linear path. It's a prism of endless possibility, where a single choice can branch out into infinite realities, creating alternate worlds from the ones you know."
This made her snap out of her mind as she looked at him in confusion. As neither the girl nor the purple man spoke up, Uatu explained more. "Those walls are made out of all kind of realities that have changed from the original path. There are all kind of realities, some that you may have never thought about. And that only leads to one question, what if?"
Annoyance was presented at the teenage's face. "Would you stop speaking im riddles. Even if you're bad at it." With that she looked back at what she was looking at. "Earth, June, 1943." The Watcher suddenly said behind them.
This time it was Thanos that was glancing toward the male. As she refuses to look at him. "This reality." The orange guy only said, now also looking at it.
All three of them saw two people standing on a railing in what seemed to be a labour. A skinny blonde man and a beautiful red haired woman. "Wait- isn't that Steve Rogers? That popular American ww2 soldier?" To her dismissive, she didn't receive any answer. Till Uatu nodded his giant head.
A white-bearded man came up to them, asking the woman. "Agent Carter, wouldn't you be more comfortable in the booth?" With a smile on her face the asked answered him with confident. "No, I'd prefer to stay."
"There. That's the moment that created a new universe." The girl looked generously surprised. "Something so small?"
"Yes. When asked to leave the room, Margaret 'Peggy' Carter chose to stay. But soon it would be her to venturing into the unknown and creating a new world." "Whoah. I'd like that. A strong independent woman. That sounds like a nice universe." The teenager sighed with a smile.
Soon an explosion came and everyone panicked in the labour. Gunshots were fired with Steve being shot. As time was running out they were arguing over who would get inside the capsule, since the fragile man isn't able to. After some thinking Carter ended up inside of it, with Howard Stark activating it.
When she stepped out, she was much more muscular and taller. "Damn. She looks fine." The girl shrieked as Thanos slapped her on the head, being tired of her side comments.
As time went on in there, Margaret trained with Steve by her side. Even with her being talked down as being a woman, she still held her head up. A new problems started soon. As the Hydra's have found the Tesseract, the jewel of Odin's treasure room.
Her first fight happened in Germany. She fought in her new uniform she received with the famous shield. Instead of it being American themed, it was British. She took them down without any difficulty, getting her hand on the blue alien battery soon.
"I don't know why, but I like her uniform more than that of Steve."
She was ignored.
It didn't take long for her to take down a base from HYDRA and to rescue the prisoners. "Are you the 107th? Im here for Sergeant Barnes." She explained, talking to the men inside the human sized bird-cages.
Up stepped a man with a big attitude. "Who are you supposed to be, Queen of England?" In respond Margaret pulled off the metal door without struggle, surprising the men inside. "Steve Rogers send me. The name's Captain Carter."
Fighting against the men of HYDRA, Steve soon came in a big robot ear suit to help, shocking the former-prisoners once again.
With that they were able to take down the enemy one after another. Along with it the relationship between Peggy and Steve grew more and more each day. Winter arrived and also their famous operation 'Where Eagles Dare.'
"Oh! This will be interesting!" The teenage girl giggled, tugging on Thanos's arm as her eyes were glued to the reality, ignoring the look she received from the Titan.
Out of nowhere the train exploded while Steve was inside of it. He was deemed dead after that.
After countless planing they began their attack on Castle de Krake in the Black Forest, where the Red Skull is, the leader of HYDRA. And it didnt take long for them to enter the castle and take down the first row of soldiers.
Inside a blue portal has been opened with big tentacles coming out of it. The red skulled man let out a maliciously laugh, "The champion of HYDRA has risen." Yet, he was crushed by his own champion after Margaret and Howard got into the large hall.
On the other hand, Bucky and his group found Steve lying on the floor in pain, with his robot suit held in metal. Convincing his friend, the blond man was put into the suit and started. After a failed start he began to regain his grip.
Then he flew straight into the ceiling to get up.
Meanwhile Peggy was fighting against the enormous tentacles while Howard was doing his science stuff and pushing buttons. Steve came through the floor and also began to help attacking the creature. Its roaring made almost everyone shriek in pain and the castle slowly began to collapse.
Steve got many soldiers away and came back to help, yet the suit was broken by the tentacles. The portal closed itself after Margaret was able to push the last bit of the creature inside, and herself. A big explosion occurred that made the rest of the castle collapse. Only thing that was left there was the tesseract.
The next thing they saw was a portal being opened again. This time not in Germany.
Out flew a few pieces of what was left of the creature. Captain Carter also came out of it, the portal closing behind her. Before her stood two men. The one with one eye left tried to calm her down by talking.
"Uh, sir? That's Captain Carter." The other man told him, looking kind of excited."Where's Steve Rogers?" The woman asked, slight of hope in her voice and face. Yet, it disappeared after what the man said,
"The war ended almost 70 years ago. Are you going to be okay?" He didn't seem to lie, and Peggy let down her guard, her shoulders sinking. "Of course... We won the war."
"Oh my gosh!" The teen wailed, "I think I'm going to cry...", with no tears in sight. She dramatically wanted to shake Uatu's shoulders, yet her body fell through him as she put her whole weight into it. "Bitch..." she whispered while getting up from her crumbled position.
"Her one choice gave birth to a whole new history and gave the multiverse a new hero. As for me, these are my stories. I observe all that transpires here, but I do not, cannot, will not interfere. For I am the Watcher."
Thanos looked at him with a dull expression, deep in thoughts. The girl otherwise was now totally hipped. "Can I see more? Pretty please?" At first Uatu looked worried but then gave up.
"You are already here. And as long as you also don't intervene it would be alright."
In Endgame the alternate timeline Thanos becomes so sick of the Avengers he plans to restart the universe over.
Secret Wars will reboot the MCU meaning that even Marvel Studios believes Thanos was right but not the Thanos we're thinking of.
Thor: No... it's better. Do you remember when we were children in the garden that one time.
*An hour later on Vormir*
Thanos: And so there was this snake on the ground. But look at me... a tiny snake couldn't pierce my skin so I didn't think it would be a big deal. But then he slithered up my leg and It turns out it was the god of mischief Loki! Then he stabbed me!
Red Skull: Thanos, you have been telling me about your stupid plan for an hour now. I don't care! GET BACK IN THE SOUL STONE!
Thanos: Okay, okay. I understand, anyway... Act 2!
