meds stuff
my neuro and I decided to change my meds.
I suggested that quarantine was a great time to try tweaking the dosage on one of my meds. Specifically, the one I’ve been on since 2006 that stops me from having tonic/clonics. My medication comfort blanket.
I’ve been on a lower dose all week. If I was out and about (riding the T, going to work, running errands) this would be terrifying.
Under quarantine it’s manageable. Also helps to have a bigger, scarier thing out there. It’s like, Seizure? Don’t even know ‘er! Now Pandemica, she’s terrifying.
Oh, the travails!
ive been off my adhd meds for like 3 weeks and i literally have gained like 10 pounds..................... WOWOOOWWW
i’ve been on anti-anxiety meds for approaching 2 months now and aside from not crying every day and being able to do things alone, ever, the nicest part is having the patience to do quiet things? like before i would pet my cat for like 2 minutes and then my brain would get too loud, i’d have to keep swapping out stimuli to make sure i didn’t get the chance to think (one of the reasons i was glued to tumblr)
but now i can spend 20 minutes with the cat, i can sit on the porch and enjoy the wind, i just spent 5 minutes observing my fish getting a midnight snack without realizing at first how long i’d been doing it.. it’s just such a relief and surprise that it’s negligibly easy to enjoy things without it devolving into panic within minutes
fucking meds jfc
My desk at this moment. Putting a lot of papers and books in order to start another study session 📝🤓
So I changed doctor and after like 16 years of taking Paxil I’m changing meds to heavier stuff (anapsique and numencial) and this is the first day in taking both so let’s see what comes out
