Writing a MerLian fic just because of all the MerLian’s I’ve been seeing.

Gotta make him the underwater equivalent of a raccoon. Shinies for the nest. The Prince must have his gold if he is to be comfortable in this strange place.

Of course this means Pirate Hua has to give all of his loot to the Mer. Gold for the Sea God of His Heart. The crew is just happy to toss gold into the water, it’s something they shouldn’t be doing by any logic, so that makes it fun!

Human treasures are so strange to the Mer, it only makes sense to sequester it away and into his nest for safe keeping. These turbulent waters are hardly gentle. Not to forget the Harpy hanging around.

Posting my ocs because they drive me insane,,,, they're brothers and they also have a sister but I need to draw her again it's been a while lol. The purple one is merlian (he/she) and the green one is nailrem (he/they) they replace merlon and nolrem respectively in a spm au :3

I first read the fic Palm-Sized Love by Captain_Daikon at the beginning of the year. I love mermaids and tiny people/miniatures, so this story featuring tiny Merlian was like a gift from the heavens. When it got updated a few weeks ago, I decided to reread, and then I reread it again, and again... it's just such a feel-good story, it brings me joy.

This is a scene from chapter 10. I hadn't drawn since my tablet malfunctioned like a year ago. It felt nice to get back to it!

Sighing as I think about merlian. Xie Lian would be beautiful: long pearly white tail, beautiful and delicate fins, scales of the same color on the body, beautiful golden eyes, long golden brown hair.

Hua Cheng, a pirate who dominates the seas, couldn't resist this enchanting beauty.

He would have fallen from the deck into the sea when he first saw him on the rocks, he would drown because the waves were especially rough in that area, and when he woke up it would be thanks to that beautiful mermaid, who saved him from the violent sea.

Even though he was disoriented after drowning, Hua Cheng still wrapped a strand of that silky golden brown hair around his finger, pulled it to his lips and kissed the strands.

Xie Lian was confused, but he understood that it was flirting, so his cheeks turned perfectly red, like two apples, making Hua Cheng feel like biting them.
