Still watching it for the cute scenes, but it's getting redundant to say that it could have been a great series with more budget and time.

Mon and Park work well together. It would be great to see them in a full series and not a micro one.

Been rewatching some of Gendy Tartakovsky's Star Wars: Clone Wars microseries. Lots of cool clips that seem like they have funny GIF potential. Took me a little while to make this one but it made me laugh.

Its like the future episode A Royal Problem, except not as good.

So it begins with Luna talking about what she did at night. It doesn’t sound like a dream since she mentions a guard and seeing raccoons in the trash cans. This issue was also published a year after Sleepless in Ponyville, which shows her ability to enter the dreams of others to help. But Luna decided to brag and say that she could handle the day and night as Celestia decided to take her offer.

So with Kibitz, the Royal Scheduler, by her side, Luna goes to do Celestia’s tasks. Basically imagine what happened in A Royal Problem but it makes Luna look bad. Like calling the civilians the peasantry, the serfs, and the peons..And what is Celestia doing while Luna is doing all her work?

She’s going to an all exclusive Spa. So let’s skip the stories and head straight to what please me: References!

This is a reference to the Classic Looney Tunes shorts featuring Ralph and Sam.

One thing that’s good is Luna is thinking she’s over her head. Kibitz ensures her that Celestia wouldn’t give her the chance if she didn’t believe in her. And instantly ruins it by saying if she does blow it Celestia would likely come back to fix the mess.

I could reference History of the World Part 1, but I would rather reference a Cosplay Chess Match. I do wish I can see a Metrocon Anime Human Chess game live.

Even Luna doesn’t like the Banish Move thing.

I don’t think the author likes Shining Armor.

Basically Luna said “F the List” and decided to do things her way, which goes smoothly, but in a montage. It ends with Celestia returning, Kizbit admitting he added more than usual, Luna thanking Celestia for being back. Celestia saying she could rule the day or night anytime. Luna being satisfied with the night and Celestia going to sleep, meaning Luna is going to be up for 24 hours.

Overall, its a fun story if you enjoy “socially unaware” Luna as some fanworks interpreted her as. But when it comes to canon, this is a year after Sleepless in Ponyville. A Luna who acts like this is not the best person to teach kids how to deal with their issues. So that, plus Luna not being freed from the Nightmare Spirit, makes this non canon to GLAB.

I think at this point I'm watching this series mostly to see Pak and Mon in these outfits looking beautiful and to listen to the same music theme that is quite addictive.

Every episode is so short I can't really get into the story. Maybe I should wait until the end of the story and watch everything at once 🤔

I almost forgot that we have a QL (micro)series on Tuesdays now 😅.

So, Ep 1 started out sad with an unknown ancient man drinking some type of drug while saying this:

So, it is fair to assume what he did there 😭😭😭

(Anyway, this is beyond sad as we all know queer people have always existed. It is just that history weren't that kind to them).

But then again, the Episode also ended up with one of the horniest scenes to date:

So, uhm, who knows where this series can take us 😅😅😅
