Kinda late, but yesterday (Aug. 12) was Middle Child Day!
I want to be close to them. Speak, talk and enjoy hanging out with them. They’re just so impossible to like.
DO I EXIST
Yes
No
Huh? A blank post? Must be a glitch
you don’t have to be sorry for leaving and growing up- middle child prompts
learning to go along with things to keep the peace
report card comments are things like ‘a pleasure to have in class’
‘okay’ in several different tones
“you’re really good at listening”
“why can’t you be more like your sister/brother?”
“I never had to worry about you” and that's the number one talked about topic in therapy
finds more comfort in their siblings than they could have found in their parents
their only freedom to be themselves lies in people outside their family
people pleaser mode activated when the mood even slightly shifts
the ‘are you okay’ friend ‘till the day they die
labelling themselves as an empath
“wow you’re really quiet” yeah I’ve convinced myself that I’m annoying
the wallflower at every party
their motto is ‘don’t worry about it’
unfortunately ive been talked over and ignored my whole life so if you let me talk/rant to you for more than five minutes at a time i will get an unhealthy emotional attachment
Don’t tell me you’re proud of me… I will cry.
convinced that Bluey's sister Bingo is the most relatable character ever put to screen (watching the episode where she's in a bad mood because her mum said she's acting like a cheeky kid and she does not see a meaningful difference in being told she is acting like one vs being told she is one)
