Who (besides Strickler) is your favorite Tales of Arcadia villain in Trollhunter?
I wouldn't quite say Strickler's a villain... Just because he never really takes a serious stance as a dangerous threat for most of series one. He is an antagonist and a enemy, but not really a villain.
I was going to say my favourite villain is Angor Rot, because he's legitimately terrifying at times, he respects Jim as a foe and his design is awesome, but again, he's not a true villain either, because he's enslaved to do the bidding of others and is a victim really.
So then it's probably Bular AND Gunmar. Bular I think more in fanfiction than the show itself, but his design was great and making him a little sympathetic in missing his father helped flesh his character out.
Gunmar is by far the most menacing and scary villain in the entire Tales of Arcadia franchise. No one compares really to him, Morgana is not very convincing as a villain, the Arcane Order needed more screentime to be properly understood and Morando is the worst villain in the series lol.
Hope that's a acceptable answer!
If General Val Morando was a Kaiju in the Pacific Rim universe, this is how I envision him. Looks kinda shit but whatever.
All of these were done a work without any refs.
How helpful is Jim in fighting off Morandos forces? What's the generals reaction to Jim and the Omnitrix?
Very helpful as his various transformations provides all sorts of counters and abilities. Morando's biggest threat is Feedback as a Conductoid's energy absorption ability is lethal to Akiridions. In fact, it's considered vital for Akiridion-5 to hold good peaceful relations with said species in particular. You can say it felt like a bomb dropped once Jim taken on that form.
Morando actually thought about taking to Omnitrix before he even got exiled but realize it was a death sentence. The threats he had to go against and the resources needed aren't worth it. Especially since Vilgax had his eyes on the Omnitrix too.
Seeing the watch on a human child enraged Morando to no end. That kind of power belongs to him! Not this pathetic weakling! Colonel Kubritz is basically a military William Harangue. She heard rumors about the Omnitrix from her prisoners.
To see the device? Pure absolute disgust as to Kubritz, the watch is an abomination. The Omnitrix is essentially Noah's Ark so even if every species is wiped out then the device can bring them back like it's nothing. Jim has a kill on sight order from her.
