He isn’t thrilled mind you about Naruto and Sasuke’s big fight, nor Naruto’s missing arm but he does not arrogantly ignore the happy worn out smiles touching the faces of both combatants when he aides Haruno in retrieving them. He speaks of the vengeance of living well, of forcing the Elders of Konoha, the Elders of the Hyuuga clan, to see them rise and thrive to see them be the aide that Naruto will need when words and politics become his battlefield and all his years of physical training are for naught.

Sasuke gives him the barest of nods. Neji is relieved. Hate is hard to let go but whatever occurred in their battle, Sasuke has now chosen Naruto over it.

Neji had worried about Lady Hinata…she had been quiet on her feelings ever since he father spoke to them, yet when he leaves Sasuke’s holding cell he does not go far before she joins him. She allays his worries, with possibly the most she had ever said to him. “Don’t…don’t worry so, about me.” The shy girl tells him. “This is best. Marriage to Shion will also show that Naruto and Hidden Leaf aren’t prejudice against outsiders. Also what better way to show peace and unity than a nice big wedding?

Hinata speaks then; “Also…Naruto-kun…it…these are good reasons but…all of us would marrying you…even without…um…such advantages.” Naruto’s face turns redder, but Neji can see tears in those blue eyes, tears that flow more as he glances at each of them and receives a nod. Says he brought Sasuke back for him anyway, not for anyone else. Shikamaru gives some dry but pointed statements from the sidelines, and Kakashi only attempts to once bring up Haruno, to which Sasuke nearly growls “if you think she’s so special you marry her, I owe her nothing. I’m not obligated to like her just because she supposedly likes me.”

So it is concluded that the engagements will be announced soon…(in time Shikamaru says…for other countries to potentially offer up candidates. ) (Naruto makes a big show of not hearing that part. Meanwhile Naruto is to dedicate himself to his studies (to the blondes horror).

Shion cheerfully kisses Naruto’s cheek before taking her leave, needing to go to her assistants to speak of what has been decided. Hinata merely squeaks a goodbye, but cannot hide her broad, happy smile as she turns to leave and Neji offers Naruto a blushing bow, before following.

He cannot say how the world will react to this, but he knows it will be a show.

Temari is arguably just as lousy a romantic partner for Naruto Uzumaki as Sakura Haruno, but what makes this relationship 1 in a million is that Temari arguably wouldn’t be as physically abusive to Naruto as Sakura is, only when she NEEDS to be. As for what would spark this relationship? Well, Temari would consider Naruto Uzumaki being a dumbbell not worth her time or effort in the slightest at first. However, after being genuinely surprised that Naruto’s selflessness towards others being extended to her brothers, Gaara & Kankuro, would play a factor, arguably major. She’d be able to see that Naruto’s pros outnumber his cons. She’d become slowly attracted to Naruto, & keep that fact under lock & key. Eventually, she’d work up the nerve to have a 1-on-1 heart-to-heart with him, & tell him how she feels. Overall, same relationship as she has with Shikamaru Nara, but not as abusive, his charm would no doubt have her lighten up.

#13. NaruKagu (Naruto Uzumaki x Kaguya Ōtsutsuki) - Please just listen. Regardless of your opinion of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki as a character, you CANNOT deny the idea of Naruto Uzumaki, a man with a double-sided resumé of womanizing at the point of the Kaguya arc, having an INHUMAN boyish charm to the point of a FREAKING GODDESS wanting his baby batter, is nothing short of entertaining. Despite those cons, she’s better than the girls below her. Oh well.

#15. NaruSaku (Naruto Uzumaki x Sakura Haruno) - Boy oh boy, what can be said about this relationship? Fan backlash of Sakura’s shitty treatment of the titular character, combined with Sakura’s 1-dimensional “Damsel In Distress” trope, throw in the Sunken Cost Fallacy in regards to Sasuke Uchiha, a character who wants NOTHING to do with Sakura, with a seasoning of a struggling writer trying to figure out what to do with characters, & you have the unholy, inbred union of Missed Opportunity AND Never Meant To Be romantic relationships. How that’s even possible, I fail to understand. I don’t care if they look cute together, Naruto is many things, but he is NOT Sakura’s physical stress doll.

#16. NaruKaru (Naruto Uzumaki x Karui) - No. Just no. If people thought Naruto & Temari would never work together, I point them to this relationship.
