Really?” Was Jôno’s answer, positioning his arms in a way that would make most people wonder if he was about to pull Dazai closer or proceed to kick him out. Though Dazai himself would likely see it coming, something he couldn’t say bothered him much in that specific moment.

They could stay like that for a little more before going separate ways, and likely not speak about that one time ever again. It would be easier.

“Ah, about messages.” Instead of elaborating, Dazai proceeded to compose one, a rhythmic succession in Morse which was pretty much child’s play to decipher:
