Cute Packaging to Animal Cruelty- Wild Deodorant.

To start with, Wild Deodorant hardly works. Not only does it leave white stain on all your clothes and not just the black ones, half the scents crumble, it doesn't tackle what actually makes you smell. Sweat itself doesn't smell: the bacteria that break down the sweat smell. Wild Deodorant is not an antiperspirant and does nothing to change the pH or kill the bacterial enzymes on your skin, which is why the scent doesn't last 2 hours.

Early in 2025, Wild Deodorant was bought by Unilever: a company that not only has sold over 89 billion single use plastic sachets, but also has consistently delved into animal cruelty, after repeatedly promising "alternatives to animal testing", despite keeping chickens in tiny cages to harvest eggs as cheaply a possible.

Wild has used their aesthetically pleasing packaging to create a false sense of security in the morals of their brand. Their constant self praising of reusable cartriges is directly contrasted by them pushing a new deodorant case every month. In 2026 alone, 6 new deodorant cases have been released, as of May 15th.

Greenwashing is the new method brands use to appeal to a more eco friendly modern audience, but seldom do they live up to their claims. Brands such as Wild Deodorant have used cruelty free tags to push the idea of guilt free products for an extra cost while being owned by giant animal abusing corporations.
