JUNE THE THIRD, AN EXCELLENT DAY!
Interval training hurts the fish
Idek what I ran today except that I got through a session of interval training without hurling and that feels like a big win. My diaphragm went completely out of control though and I had to stop a lot tp get my breathing under control.
0/10 experience
10/10 likelihood I'll do it again

I feel like I need to share this because idk if Europeans are familiar with the presence of Aldi in the US, but at least especially in my area they’ve been growing a lot recently. Like Aldi bought out some local failing grocery chains where I live (Louisiana) and have opened Aldis in all these somewhat rural communities and small towns, which for the record I’m fine with
But as a result of this they are advertising a lot more in my area and also in many cases, the people in these areas have never been confronted with Aldi or any European grocery store. So the ads that Aldi is pushing out to its new US customer base feature a cowboy shopping at Aldi who is explaining to new Aldi customers how Aldi works. Like this cowboy is explaining you gotta put a quarter in the shopping cart and why there are very little name brands. A cowboy is how they want to reach their American customer base. They gave us a cowboy
Here he is, the Aldi Cowboy

IT'S JUNE
Also omw to my gay run club on the first day of pride there was a massive rainbow arching over our meeting point. So that was cute.
Happy pride month to the tiny cowboy and tiny Trojan man from Night at the Museum
This hands down the best comment in the notes, I will not be taking criticism.
They made me run up a HILL??
JK it was fine, I managed 13 mins of running TWICE!! With a 5 min break in-between! So I'm at a 26min total and loving it 😌
I also started wearing my Garmin ao I can see how far I'm going (3km so far!!)
Happy pride month
Let's have each other's back in these trying times

There's always a beach episode - but there isn't always a life changing achievement!! TWENTY MINUTES OF RUNNING UNINTERRUPTED!!!!!!
In today's post I gush a bit lol. I've been joking that this is my shounen training arc, but today we flipped the script and had a shoujo style beach episode in the MOST beautiful weather.
The friends I'm making are so lovely and I feel so lucky. I also just feel really lucky to be around so many queer people at different stages of their lives and to talk about mundane things 😭
Also! Hi! 20 minutes!! TWENTY MINUTES OF RUNNING CAN YOU BELIEVE! From not being able to do 3, to running 20! When the coach turned to me and said we were at 17 I nearly tripped just from the shock. I really thought we were about 10 mins in but we were almost done. I held conversation the whole time too!!!
Afterwards we all went for a swim together and the sea was so lovely! It was just the most gorgeous day 😭
Other things have started feeling better outside of running too - I can run to catch a bus, I can take off walking without getting shin splints, I'm sleeping better, my mood is better, I'm choosing to eat (a little bit) better!
I'm just so happy I did this! It's made a huge positive change in my life! I'm so HAPPY!
Right now I'm sitting on the train with a very soggy bottom from the swim, but still absolutely buzzin!!!
