Positive Vibes plzzzzzzzzzzz

Hey guys, it’s been a really busy week, which hasn’t really been great for  me. I haven’t had a panic attack in 10 days, but my PTSD been giving me nightmares, and I just really don't feel good. Plz send as many good vibes as possible.

Today was a dose of a reality check. See, I got hurt in December (not at crossfit) and I couldn’t train for an entire month to recover. That’s like an eternity for Crossfitters. Lol. But it had to be done. Now, It’s only my second week back, but I’m starting to realize how much of my strength has diminished from my injury. I used to be able to do 185x5 for OHS easily. Today I couldn’t even do 155x5. Even my arms were shaking from lack of stability. Anyways it’s highly irritating to say the least and it gives you that feeling of despair. However, I gotta remember, that I’m only human and I’m still recovering. Because that’s what we gotta do. We gotta recover from our setbacks in order to do better. I know I’ll get back to my normal strength eventually, and even go even beyond that. I just gotta trust the process and keep striving. 6. pastel, boho, tomboy, preppy, goth, grunge, formal or sportswear? 

I prefer formal-wear, as I feel more masculine wearing it, and as I grew up seeing my dad in suits, I really associate it with masculinity and intelligence. That being said, I do sometimes go for a more tomboy look depending on what kind of mood I’m in (I’m genderfluid). 

15. favourite book you read as a school assignment? 

Honestly, I loved ‘Of Mice and Men’. It was an amazing piece of literature that completely took me in. For me, it wasn’t that much the story-line, as it was the unerring friendship between George and Lennie. I would definitely recommend this to people who haven’t read it yet!

 **THE FOLLOWING HAS SPOILERS FOR THE FOLK OF THE AIR SERIES.                  DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING READING IT**

 From a book called ‘The Queen of Nothing’ by Holly Black, which was the last book of the trilogy of the Folk of the Air series, which I absolutely loved. It’s written from the main character’s perspective. My quote is from when she is deciding what to do during a dilemma between the safety of her kingdom and the safety of her beloved, currently trapped in a monster’s body (He’s the King of Elfhame/Faerieland, but they’re married, so she’s the Queen too). When she finally decides she thinks:

 'And if the serpent grows in monstrousness and corruption, if it poisons the land of Elfhame itself, then let me be the queen of monsters.

 Let me rule over that blackened land with my redcap father as a puppet by my side.

 Let me be feared and never again afraid. 

Let me have everything I ever wanted, everything I ever dreamed, and eternal misery along with it. 

Let me live on with an ice shard through my heart.’

 This really struck a chord with me as I developed PTSD in September 2019, so I’ve had plenty of demons to deal with that I am slowly learning to overcome. SLOWLY. Thanks for the asks!!!

I love my flamenco class, it really keeps my brain going and my body working ♥️💃🏾 but it also teaches me so much more about myself. Like it’s so hard for me to focus, how easily I feel intimidated, how I feel picked on, disliked, ignored or betrayed . But then I realize these are my thoughts and my feelings only and so I work on my issues and release them them until they sneak up on me again but I never quit. I stay on it and even though my body is not the same at 67, I accept it and keep going. I do this for me, for my soul and that’s it. So whatever obstacles I make up in my brain can easily overcome them by not quitting, by keeping it going and being ok with all my imperfections. Every time is a right time. But not every time is your time.

"You will be at the top!" "You will pass the examination!" "You will be successful in your chosen career!"

These are the few thoughts that cross our minds. A spoken promise of our uncertain future, as if every utterance of these words brings our dream closer to reality. But it was so confusing, and difficult because all of these assertions were made by people who believe in us. That's why we keep asking ourselves what dream is best for us and seeking answers about when will be our moment. Did it happen yesterday, today, or tomorrow?

Our dream will come true in due time. While we can't predict when or where it will occur, time marches on and opportunities pass. That is when our faith will be tested, and people will want to depart from our past, but that is all part of the dreaming process. It will be a difficult journey with many ups and downs. Disappointments will try to put our strengths to the test, and failures will try to cast a shadow over our hopes. Only those who are strong enough will survive, and those who are weak will cease dreaming, which is why it was so heartbreaking to witness some individuals live without their dreams despite having been given the opportunity to pursue them. Maybe it's a lack of support, courage, or money that prevents them from believing in and realizing their dreams. Or perhaps they give up on their dream because they see a broader vision of themselves in another dream. Well, we are the only person who knows the truth of ourselves. Only we can judge our progress, and only we can attest to what we need and desperately want to be in the future. We can declare that we are nobody, nothing, and that we are hiding in the shadow of someone right now. However, remember that every successful dream occurs at the perfect time. We can tell that it is not yet our time because we lack something, and instead, we should learn to be pleased for the triumphs of others and learn to take our journey with little step until we are at the finish line.

It's important that we don't just give up so quickly. Let's believe in ourselves as we keep moving toward the goal we have in our hearts. The more discords we have, the bigger the end we have to look forward to. There are more chances for great things to happen if we work hard and never cheat on our dream.
