Confusion and Headaches (4 Corners Part 6)

The team beheads all of the remaining Greys (mainly Rowan), and they exit the spacecraft.  Betty is on the ground nursing her head, appearing to have a headache, while Barney rests a hand on her back and holds his own head with his other hand.  Rowan attacks Betty, kicking her in the head.  Barney shoves Rowan off, more confused than angry.  Betty is now unconscious because of the blow.

Jet questions Barney about his involvement in the kidnappings and says they have been under the Greys’ mind-control since 1961.  They are both suffering from massive headaches and are both confused as to exactly what is going on, but them seem to have a better understanding of their situation than anyone else who has been broken from the mind-control.

Jet Cool tells Barney to “Be Cool”, gives his scythe to Barney, and makes his way to the machinery in the back of the empty Wal-Mart.  Barney also approaches the group of people there, who freak out that DEATH is coming.

Bobby also investigates around the Grey creator (the large machinery), and he finds out the people there are also suffering from headaches and confusion.  The machinery has also been stopped (is no longer even trying to function) after the button was pushed inside the UFO.  Everyone pitches in to destroy the creator.

Unbeknownst to everyone there, Thomas Hudson (the little boy who Jet attacked) did what all small children are taught to do in an emergency: he called the freaking police.  Thomas climbed into the van and found a phone to make his call.

As Barney conducts the final swing on the machinery, Bobby says the police are coming (after stepping back to let the others destroy the thing, he heard the sirens).  Right then, Officer Jones, joined by cop Officer Jane Whitbeck and a few others our heros haven’t met yet, run into the compound.  They immediately spot Barney with the scythe and point all guns on him.

Bobby takes the lead and tries to calm the situation by talking to Officer Jones, who cannot believe there is an alien spaceship in this Wal-Mart.  As humans are wont to do, Jones will accept any explanation to keep his own sanity; he is convinced the Hills orchestrated this entire set up: kidnapping people, blaming aliens, etc, etc.  However, Bobby tries to convince Jones that there really were aliens and that the Hills were mind-controlled this entire time.

Officer Whitbeck joins in their discussion, saying that “She’ll take care of it.” and tells Bobby to get out of town and to take his friends with him.  Bobby seeing a means of escape out of paperwork and more questions, grabs the crew and gets everyone in the van.  On to the next adventure!!!

Sidenote that was never resolved: The van was out of gas!  The Keeper’s solution: Rowan siphoned gas out of a cop car, probably.
