I was briefly reminded of this fanfic I wrote but never finished when I was in the peak of my Invader Zim hyperfixation. I thought that the smiling friends audio going around fit it pretty well lol-

It’s 12 chapters long so far and essentially a rewrite of IZ but if Zim had a better disguise and Dib has no idea bro is an alien. Meanwhile, Zim learns the magic of friendship or whatever. BUT it’s not super out of character and has that same feel that the canon episodes have. At least I think so. Like, it’s not just a copy paste of the episodes, I changed a few things.

I’m kinda debating whether or not I should bring it back or update it or something- I remember having BIG PLANS for this fic- With new characters, episode plots, and I still know what most of the lore was gonna be.
