By the time I had finished the prologue, I was hooked (and invested in Molly’s and Karl’s stories and journey toward one another.
Molly is a plus size monster erotica audiobook narrator, a divorcee, and out of her groove, she doesn’t trust anyone and when she finds out about the (mistaken) death of a former classmate and unacknowledged crush (Karl), she heads back to Harlot’s Bay for funeral only to find her crush still among the living and herself agreeing to go to her high school reunion with Karl. Karl is among the sweetest mushes of all secret smushes, still lives in Harlot’s Bay, and is a baker. The lack of ability to communicate is wildly strooooong with both.
This lead to me really enjoying this one up until about the 70% point. I do recommend this since others may not have the slight issues I had.
