I know what you are going to say and I am not in the mood to apologize- we all have days like this where there just isn’t enough sleep or coffee or it’ll be okay's  to make the tone in my voice go down and I am pulling out my hair from stress so please just get the fuck over yourself. I am so tired of always listening, always being the ears and the shoulders and my shirt  your tissues (you have to realize how damn  gross it is for you to blow your nose there) and you know what? I don’t care.  I have so much going on and I cry every night but somehow I am adding more to my plate all the while I am biting off heads and  stepping on toes because if you can’t do it right I am sure as hell not letting you try a second time, I only have so many seconds in my day where breathing feels moderately okay  so step off my shit ass attitude  it is what is keeping me going  you think you could do what I do and smile the whole time? do it all and be soft? be sweet? I am faking it all, I swear and I don’t even know how I manage no to say all this to people’s faces  half the time but I am tired of being asked  to do everything when you all know  that I just can’t say “fuck no.”

I am tired that the one person who should take care of me does nothing but destroy me. I am tired of all the drama, tired of all the pain, tired of not being able to sleep, tired of being accused of stuff I didn't even do. I have tried to help you, made excuses for you, tried bending over backwards to please you,but I am done. It's is never enough and at this point it is my sanity or you so what do you think I am going to chose?

"we'll be waiting you 'round 8 past the bar" she texted me while I was shuffling up my bank account or sofa for some cash that must've slipped far from my pockets "it's ok. might be late, see you there." not one cent, not one pound, not a bitcoin to my name; all gone to rent, electric or this shitty cell phone plan I'm paying "we're still here. where you're at? stand in front of that restaurant we can all afford" oh, I'm tired of the stares of the cashier or the coins that keep jiggling in my backpack or the excuses every time I have to make up "in a minute, lol. come on girl, don't get tense" I'm tired of my brokenness tired of postponing what I want tired of the treats and gifts and shit tired of the second drinks costing double shifts tired of pity looks and stressful bills I'm tired of being the cottonmouth between full stomachs and sweet teeth I'm fucking tired "you still there?" "hey, you coming?" "everyones's here, have you left?" "uhm, I'm sorry, I'd love to come but weariness just got me good, not disrespecting, just not hungry that is all, don't you worry see you soon"

Cleanse

What is time when you can no longer perceive it?

Seconds blend into minutes blend into hours blend into days, and eventually years.

I can sense it is the longest day of my life. That is what it feels like.

Today or yesterday or tomorrow is no different as I try to wash away faded memories of a life that belonged to a stranger and not me.

I like hot showers or at least she did or we do. Like to melt as the water comes down and scalds away the sin of being born. You know sit until my skin resembles the true way life has aged me. Fingers shriveled like the skin of a dried plum.

Time does not exist here and so we stay beyond hot temperatures and all that is left is ice. And the beads of water cut like razors, causing flesh wounds and leaving scars. A reminder.

All these exit wounds pour out my blood like emotions would flow if they existed. Oh what we wouldn’t give to feel again. To be able to weep away the pain that the scars cause in the dead of winter. There is no warmth here.

And every second or day or year or moment my body recalls how razors cut.

And I bleed

Because it is the only way we know how to feel.
