These Vegan Gluten-Free Wontons are filled with a flavorful mix of cabbage, carrots, and spices, wrapped in a delicate wrapper and fried to crispy perfection. They make a delightful appetizer or snack for any occasion!
Ingredients: 1 cup finely chopped cabbage. 1/2 cup grated carrots. 1/4 cup chopped green onions. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon soy sauce. 1 teaspoon sesame oil. 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1 package vegan wonton wrappers gluten-free if preferred. Water for sealing. Oil for frying.
Instructions: In a bowl, mix together cabbage, carrots, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and black pepper. Place a small spoonful of filling in the center of a wonton wrapper. Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper. Fold the wrapper over the filling to create a triangle, pressing the edges to seal tightly. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the wontons in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with dipping sauce of choice.
