there are times when i think to myself... "am i a system?" "am i plural?" i debate for a while, trying to logically induce an answer to the question. i even was just a minute ago. but then i had a thought.

a singlet wouldn't question this so much.

yep. i'm plural. proof by contradiction, i'm plural. i don't know how quite yet... but i'm plural.

Okay, doing a little test. Coz I suspect I'm plural but my amnesia is real bad so I can't tell yet if I have alters or if it's just memory gaps, I'm gonna put this post up on my page and if I switch to different alters, I can reblog the post and introduce myself. I'll go first.

I'm most comfortable in bed or outside, preferably with my pet dog. I am also a dog, a chocolate lab. I identify as a dog in a human body. I am z00 and autoz00 (anti-contact btw), but I also like humans too. my preference is boys. I remember more of my childhood than I'd like, but the newer memories get fuzzier. I'm aware that I share a head with others, but I can't communicate with them.

Should I make a separate sideblog for my system?

It would probably help with a lot of things, but also I'm lazy.

I also don't know what to name my collective. Does anyone have any ideas?

Edit: Okay, if this post gets 50 notes, I'll make the side blog (no more than 4 notes per user). Feel free to use some of those notes for name suggestions. I kind of need new names for my facets and headmates anyway.

I spent awhile reading through feather's guide to fronting and switching, and the attached materials linked in it, as well as some of @rainofthestorm's notes on switching (which is also where I found feather's guide) last night, interesting stuff, though alot of it was pretty tricky to wrap my head around 😅 but I liked feather's framing device of "The Persistant I"

I also didn't go through all the exercises and steps for dissasociation and association, but I tried a bit of meditating/grounding and I think managed to get Cyan to front for a bit. I was aiming for Magenta but when I "asked" for them they weren't there, and I heard Cy's voice super clearly instead, so he switched in instead, and "I" (I've started thinking of myself as J. Prime lol) became a voice inside "my" head, and also sort of a physical prescence in the top right of my head? Cy's the only one so far I've had deliberately 'front' in the past, since I ask him to help us do important things or self-care tasks, so I guess it makes sense it's easier to get him to front than the others.

Some things I've noticed about 'being' Cy so far:

Feels like I should be taller

I talk out loud a lot more- in a slightly lower voice, or when I slip up and talk in my usualy higher voice it feels more wrong than usual (Not in a british accent btw, that seems to just be an inside the head thing)

Way better executive functioning

I don't feel as much of a need/want to listen to music or podcasts while doing things

My eyes look a bit more serious? or tired? in the mirror
