Deceit had the mixing spoon. He’d been cleaning it for about ten minutes now by licking it. What could he say? He liked cake batter and nobody stopped him. Patton was making dinner with Dee helped.
It was Virgil’s birthday so they’d decided to cook together while Remus, Logan and Roman kept the anxious side distracted from their kitchen escapade. The foods were Virgil’s favorites, of course.
The cake was chocolate funfetti cake and dinner was tomato and tortellini soup and grilled cheeses, something they both knew Virgil loved and was also alright by Logan for the anxious side to have while he was sick.
Amongst gathering bowls and setting them on the table, Deceit felt Patton poke his nose and then he tried to look at it as he set the dishes all down. Frosting? He looked back up, ready to say something snarky only for Patton to talk first.
“Aw, you look adorable looking at your nose!” Patton squealed excitedly. “Can I kiss you?” Patton asked.
“Yeah.” He told him softly, immediately getting lips against his own and he grabbed a chair to keep from going off-balance as Patton smiled even into their kiss, probably tasting the cake batter left there still.
“You’re just dee-lightfully sweet, DeeDee!” And he couldn’t help smiling a bit as he put the bowls out, a little pink from blushing at the compliment.
“Hey guys. Oh.” Virgil’s scratchy voice came from the doorway.
“Happy birthday, my dark little angel!” Patton greeted him happily. Deceit couldn’t help turning red with a blush when Remus pointed out the chocolate on both his and Patton’s faces.
