I was doing a 9-1-1 rewatch over the hiatus and this sort of just happened. It’s a self indulgent hot mess that I wrote in two days. Lmao. Basically all you need to know is that it’s set towards the beginning of season three after Buck comes back to work. They get a bad call and the team gets mandated to go to therapy by the chief and that’s all fine except the therapist they’re supposed to go to is Dr. Wells. Chaos ensues.

Notes: I got to the Halloween episode of season 3 in my rewatch, and I knew immediately I had to re-read this. It is a post-lawsuit fic, but it doesn’t baby Buck or villainize the 118 or vise-versa. It takes the stance that most level headed people in this fandom take, which is that everyone really just needed to talk to each other. And they do, talk to each other, that is. Eddie and Buck talk and get their heads out of their asses, and Bobby and Buck have a truly wonderful conversation that I wish they had in canon. Plus, it’s a time-loop fic, and, as I’ve said before, I LOVE time loop fics.

Hi, I'm hoping you can help? Looking for a buddie fic takes place right after the lawsuit when Buck is back and everyone is still frosty. Buck asks for time off and Bobby has him take longer than he wanted as punishment so Buck decides to visit the ranch he worked at in Montana. His flight has a malfunction and goes down -no survivors. He actually misses his flight and gets a later one but is incorrectly listed as on the downed flight. Buck has turned off his phone wanting radio silence and so doesn't know about everyone believing he's dead until he returns a week later. Do you remember this fic by chance? I swear I bookmarked it but now I can't find it.
