Its more like a question than a request, But what are the things you think would make Dazai's heart skip or make him blush. It a difficult thing yes, but still. • Sensual touching, but without anything sexual attached to it. Dazai falls under the category of touch starved and with his bandages there is so much skin that goes untouched by anyone other than himself. Down the center of his back, up his forearm, a gentle kiss to the shell of his ear. The lighter the touch the bigger the flutter in his stomach because it’s not meant to turn him on or bait him, it’s purely innocent and it’s such a strange feeling it stirs his stomach in the best way.• Verbally announcing that he’s wanted. Reading people like an open book is a normal tendency for Dazai, but the affirmation of being told he’s wanted sends a chill up his spine. Nobody has ever told him that before– coupling it with feelings only amplifies the feeling it gives him. The closest he gets to a blush is when this happens especially if it’s public. Sexual or not, hearing he’s wanted immediately gives him goosebumps. • Wear his clothes. Knowing that his s/o smells like him makes it even better. Over-sized sweaters or just his button-ups are his favorite articles of clothing to give to his s/o. He can barely contain the look of adoration on his face if his s/o wears his clothes in public. Throwing on his favorite sweater to run to the grocery store without a second thought never ceases to make his heart pound in his chest like a war drum.• Using his given name. Not in a cheeky way, or a teasing way. Saying it late at night when he finally comes to bed half asleep reaching for him. During sex when its steamy and passionate. Having a serious conversation early in the morning when he can’t sleep and needs a distraction. Softly, in his ear, to get his attention when his mind is wandering in to dark territory. • Tracing his scars. Even with random hookups he never took off his bandages completely or insisted he fuck without the lights on. Dazai won’t show he’s self conscious but it takes him a long time to get that comfortable. Tracing along their indents in his skin makes his entire body erupt in strange tingles that end up as a comfort. It’s less of himself that he has to hide and the sensuality of it makes the relationship feel much deeper than before.

* Sometimes, when the jealousy is too strong, Lavi just,,,, sulks,,, but its kinda amusing to the others because he’s so honest about it ( example of what lavi would say : “I’m too jealous right now don’t bother me!” )

* He’d be hanging off of s/o’s shoulders whenever he’s jealous if he had any say in it; of course, Bookman wouldn’t allow that and Lavi doesn’t want to suffocate s/o so he just seethes on his own

* If he’s feeling too jealous, he’d step in between s/o and whoever it is they were talking to; yelling and being dramatic in a comical way. He’d stand down if s/o told him to behave, albeit resorting to silently glaring at whoever it is with a pout on his face, waiting for s/o to pay attention to him after

Kanda

* Though not one to show affection publically, Kanda would lowkey need a lot of physical contact to ease his jealousy ( ex: lying his head on s/o’s lap, having them close to them so that their shoulders touched, having s/o play with his hair, etc )

* If he was feeling too much jealousy at the moment, he’d have to tire himself out in one of the training rooms before he even think of confronting s/o or the person he was jealous of

* The last time he confronted s/o while he was seething with anger and jealousy, the both of them ended up in a huge fight and didn’t talk to each other for almost a month; Kanda didn’t want to see s/o crying again after the incident

Tyki

* He’ll brush off his feelings most of the time because “s/o’s only friends with this person psh-“

* Though when his jealousy grows, he goes in on himself and starts to think too much on the matter – alone – which makes him translate things s/o is doing with the person far worse than it really is

* He wouldn’t make it obvious that he was jealous, oh no; s/o has to figure that out by themselves and when they do, only then would Tyki open up his heart – with much reluctance I bet

* Also, needs a good amount of cuddling/hugging after confessing his jealousy to s/o because he needs that reassurance

Hey! I just recently found your blog and i love it!! Since you take questions, I have to ask, Do you think Dazai is capable of romantic love? Like, if he 'did' found someone who gave him just the right push and pull to grow and open up (however little) how do you think he'd react? What would his uptake on that would be? Thank you~

I personally don’t think Dazai is ready for romantic love as he is now - the man is barely able to look out for himself, lol. It’s possible that he would find someone who could give him the right motivation, but I doubt it would blossom into full blown romance right away. Of course, it doesn’t mean that he’s incapable of romantic love, but I think his current values (or the lack thereof) might prevent him from opening up to someone so wholeheartedly. His attitude towards himself and his own well-being is questionable at best, plus most of the time he is trapped inside his own world, so it’s still a long way until he is prepared to direct his feelings and longing towards someone else.

If he does find someone like that, though, I guess the first stage he would go through would be denial (LOL). Perhaps as his feelings grow, he would shift his mindset towards the more positive end, though I still think it’s a looooong way until he actually starts getting there. That also means that his partner needs an insane amount of faith and patience to walk with him and constantly shift his thoughts from the negative to the positive. Also, Dazai is a flickering motherfucker at the moment, with a heavily implied fear of responsibility, so somehow he will have to open up to the possibility of having dedicated romantic feelings for someone else. He would also need to learn to see people for their values and inner light. Most importantly, though, he has to somehow overcome his fear of loss. That in itself is plenty reason for him to freak out at first LOL.

What do you mean ‘how often he gets jealous’

24/7, the guy’s a yandere

Some guy looks at you for one second too long? Cut. A vassal touches you in a friendly manner? Kill. Shingen sweet-talks you? Fight to the death.

It’s a bit toxic when you think about it, but you truly understand the root of his obsession, and he seems to be genuine in trying to improve.

At least it gets slightly better as your relationship with him progresses. He learns to trust you and let you do your thing instead of obsessing over you, though he still occasionally does. Especially in circumstances he knows you like.

That being said, the things that still tick Kenshin off is when you act really friendly around Shingen, or vice versa. It’s not that he doesn’t trust Shingen (despite how Kenshin appears to have a rocky relationship with Shingen, he respects him a lot and considers him a friend). Kenshin only feels slightly insecure because Shingen has a lot of things he doesn’t: the smoothness of his lines, the effortlessness in his behavior. Kenshin sometimes wonders if you’re better off with someone like that.

Another person that makes him jealous is Sasuke, but that’s mainly because you and the ninja are from the same time and can spend a lot of time talking about weird things he doesn’t understand, so Kenshin just feels alienated.

Still doesn’t like it very much when he catches some of his vassals staring at you. The good thing is he’s given up being violent about it.

Mitsuhide

Gets jealous but isn’t as blatant about it as Kenshin

At the beginning of the relationship, he’ll act a bit distant as a reaction to jealousy, so you’ll see him trying to avoid you sometimes. Most of this (somewhat similar to Kenshin) stems from the feeling that you don’t deserve someone like him in your life—he’s far too dangerous and has done things he doesn’t want you to know. 

Sometimes he can feel a bit jealous if you spend too much time working or playing with pets. Pretty petty things in his book. Still, he can’t help but crave for your affection, being unable to straightforwardly tell you to ‘pay attention to him’ more. 

BUT because he’s a busy person himself, the above ^ only happens occasionally during his downtime

Surprisingly gets jealous when Hideyoshi is with you. He knows that Hideyoshi has caretaking tendencies and has no qualms helping people out/making sure things are doing alright. His kindness extends to some physical contact here and there, like patting your head or shoulder as a way to comfort you. Actually, any physical contact from the other warlords are bound to make Mitsuhide jealous, but Hideyoshi’s is a special case because Mitsuhide feels like he can’t be as kind and outwardly loving as his comrade.

If he catches you and Hideyoshi, he’s going to act extra sweet with you in private, leading you to wonder what caused the change in his normally teasing behavior.

Asra- I half-jokingly refer to Asra’s route as the threesome route cause boy howdy is he searching for one- But as far as getting jealous, I’m gonna say not very often. He’s very secure in the strength of their relationship, so it would take a lot to make him feel challenged in that respect- Like someone literally just grabbing her ass or something similarly aggressive- Even then, his reaction is half-protective: stepping between her and whoever is committing the offense, glaring at them and using short, clipped sentences to tell them to go away- When they’re gone, he turns to her and pulls her into a tight hug, asking if she’s okay, did they hurt her- If she’s shaken up by it at all he’ll hold her and whisper words of comfort into her ear- He has a hard time convincing himself to let go of her after that, holding her hand as much as possible for the rest of the day

Julian- Another one who is down for a threesome- Julian’s jealousy is kind of dependent on how well he knows whoever is involved- If it’s someone he’s close to, he wouldn’t get jealous as quickly, because he trusts that his friends wouldn’t try anything with someone he’s so obviously taken with- If it’s someone he doesn’t know very well, he’s quick to step in with a hand on her back and a joke thrown in their direction as he leads her away- He’s more affectionate for a little while afterward, seeking out kisses and hugs even when either of them is too busy for it- He just wants to reconfirm that he has her attention and affection

Grimmjow is definitely a dom. He’s far too hard headed and strong willed for his own good. You could try to get him to let you take control in the bedroom (try being the operating word, clearly), but it never quite works. He is the King after all, and this King wants to make sure his kitten does exactly what he wants if you want to get your reward. Grimmjow definitely makes it worth your while though, he’s all power and confidence in the bedroom and he’ll show you exactly what a dom is supposed to be.

O n Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?

Levi doesn’t necessarily wear his heart on his sleeve and isn’t the best at expressing his emotions. He probably doesn’t even fully grasp his own thoughts and feelings, so he figures keeping them to himself is the way to go until he finds a solution. There’s no difference in how he acts around his crush though, Levi wants things to remain the same – professional and as least complications as possible.

Even for others it’s hard to pick up on what is going through his head. If Hanji were to tease him, they’d do so completely oblivious to the truth – and his reaction wouldn’t give anything away either.

However, depending on what their relationship previously was, his interest might show in small actions. He definitely won’t grow more affectionate or kind, but there’s a sense of him feeling more aware of what he says, does and how he comes across to them. He glances at them frequently, until he notices that he might look like a creep for staring at them every few minutes. If they’re in his squad or a trainee, he’ll be more strict towards them with good intentions, since he wants them to do their damned best to stay alive.

If it ever comes to a confession, it’s not going to be your romantic date-night opening up. For that to happen, they would have to initiate a confession on their part. Levi, however? He wants to avoid the possibility of losing someone dear to him and if having them around requires him to bottle shit up then he can cope with that. He manages. Until he probably snaps. Maybe they got into a dangerous situation and the thought of him not being honest with them frightens and frustrates him so it bursts from his lips.

Shinji 

Him: Well, it’s hard to gauge with him. He is a consummate actor. Shinji can have a complete jealous meltdown and in the next breath say convincingly that it was all a joke. He’s very intelligent. He’s very confident. He’s very much a little shit. I truly believe that any real jealousy would never be shown. He can easily act the opposite of what he’s feeling. It ties into his zanpakto and the reverse nature of it. Being hollowfied binds him even more deeply to it, so much so that there’s not much discerning one from the other. 

His s/o: It depends on the level of jealousy. A little bit – he’s all grins and picking on you about how you’re so cute when you’re jealous. Full meltdown – major cause for concern. He’s going to be having a private talk with you about the source of that and how it needs to stop. Jealousy that extreme tells him you don’t trust him and that’s a problem. The usual, easy-going Shinji will give way to serious Shinji. Don’t make him put on his “captain face.”

Toshiro

Him: (I’ve written this before so I copy/pasted with minor tweaks because, honestly, it all still holds true.) 

Toshiro has no qualms letting his temper flare. If he sees someone getting too handsy with you or being too flirty, you’re going to feel him before you see him. The blast of frigid air that hits you is going to let you know Toshiro’s arrival is imminent. He’ll appear at your side, hand around your waist, death glare aimed at the flirty one, “It would be much safer for you to leave – now.” He doesn’t just want them away from you, he wants them completely gone from whatever event you’re attending. He’s going to take you somewhere private and scold you, “You shouldn’t have allowed that vulgar person to carry on like that with you. Next time, walk away.” (Sorry, comedic breakaway here: You sputter, “But, Shiro, I can’t do that to Head Captain Kyoraku!”) Until he’s really settled into the relationship, Toshiro is going to get a little jealous if you’re really friendly with other members of the Court Guard, especially if they make you laugh. He wants to be the one that makes you laugh and his fussy tendencies can sometimes get in the way of that. Once he settles and the security of your commitment to each other is established, he’s not going to get jealous of insignificant little things anymore.

His s/o: Sometimes I think Toshiro is a professional scolder. Seriously, he could teach a class on it. A little bit of jealousy will have him scoffing and telling you to stop being ridiculous.The scolding will be mild, half-hearted. He won’t see it as a problem, more like an annoyance. A little part of him will like it because it’s proof how much you care, even if it’s a negative means of showing it. Meltdown level -- Ooooo, you better watch out. Toshiro will not put up with extreme displays of jealousy. Wanna hear him yell? Throw a fit. Yeah, not only will he fuss, he’s going to be asking some questions about why you don’t trust him. This one is not a man to test when it comes to his commitment to you.
