I wonder how many customers I've sent away stating we don't have something they asked for because I didn't process their words fast/well enough. Like yesterday per example, a customer asked if we had gold medals for kids and I said no, because I understood gometalrjaoerjeaoh (just to visualise lol). She was already gone when my brain put together the actual words.

We do in fact have gold medals in the party section of our store :'D

I just had some bad news, and I don't know how to process it. It's just buzzing under my skin. It doesn't know whether to be tension in my shoulders and arms or sickness in my stomach, so it's just teetering on the edge of both.

You know the whole discussion of “let students draw in class because that’s how some people can process information better”? That was definitely true for me for the most part, BUT! If I was drawing and the class was boring and tedious asf? I zoned all the way out and never processed ANY of it... hence why I almost flunked out of all of my math classes in high school, aksfsksfsdkdfskdfskdfskdfskdfskdfs

the funniest (worst) part of having a processing disorder is when someone tells me not to say/do something and then my brain does the little youtube buffering signal and then i say/do the exact thing anyway approximately 2 minutes later (because the no hasn’t processed yet)

Auditory processing disorder and the consequent need for subtitles conflicts so much with my focusing issues :/ Like on one hand, I need the subtitles or I wouldn’t be able to tell what is being said...

But I get so caught up in the subtitles that I forget to actually process meaning of the words or pay attention to the content of the video. So I’m working double time to pay attention, but also due to sensory issues everything else in my environment is distracting...
