wed: picture of (one) of my bookshelves ;)
lol, i don’t have much physical copies of books (since i use ibooks and other virtual /free/ options...). this is more like storage space 😅 i’ve also been very productive with non-studying things lately and have cleaned out quite a bit! i’m a terrible hoarder so this is a step towards improvement hehe
Weekly Spread | Week 41 2019 I realised I never posted this spread from earlier in the term (first week back at university). It was a pretty busy week and I was stressing over silk for the most of it.

✨week two✨
about to take a nap to get ready for bangbangcon at 3am(?!!) haha, i’ve been a bit busy so i’m posting in chunks!
26/10/19 | 100 Days of Productivity Day 33/100 Laundry in the morning, Kingston trip with a friend in the afternoon. My friend was desperately putting a costume together for a part they evening so we hunted stores to pull something together for her most of the trip. I did however buy the dr Martens I had been eyeing up for ages, thank you birthday gift cards. In the evening I organised my notes from The School of Historical Dress evening I attended the night before. 27/10/19 | 100 Days of Productivity Day 34/100 A quiet day where I forced myself not to do any uni work. Instead I, deep cleaned my room, went grocery, watched some Merlin and almost finished reading a book! 28/10/19 | 100 Days of Productivity Day 35/100 Morning dissertation session in the uni library. In the afternoon removed the tacking stitches from the sleeve cuffs and re assembled the bodice (cf, shoulder and side) seams using a back stitch. Which I had used originally, then took out and replaced with a running stitch and am now back with a back stitch - I wasted time 29/10/19 | 100 Days of Productivity Day 36/100 More back stitching in the morning, re sewing the side to back seams, just the darts left to do but those can wait until I’m sane again. My day was broken in half with a ballet photoshoot after lunch, very pleased to have that done! *Pictured are some (unedited) images from the ballet photo shoot. The tutu was made by me and designed by another student. The is character Odile from Swan Lake with a ‘destruction by seduction’ theme. I’m not 100% keen on the brown areas of the bodice which are meant to represent rust/deterioration but some people really like it, let me know!
30/11/19 | 100 Days of Productivity Day 66/100 Christmas shopping today, I think I got everything I wanted, though I kept the receipt for the book I bought for my mum as I’ve bought her books in the past only to find she's read it on her kindle! 1/12/19 | 100 Days of Productivity Day 67/100 I officially started trying to learn Russian today and am enjoying it so far, lets me friends on Dulingo! 2/12/19 | 100 Days of Productivity Day 68/100 Sleeve day! I finished evening out the smocking to a point where I was happy with both sleeves and then got them sewn into the bodice using a back stitch. The piping looks fantastic on the armhole! I also had a one to tone tutorial with my course director which was fantastic, he approved my personal choice costume (third term) which is both a blessing and a curse... 3/12/19 | 100 Days of Productivity Day 69/100 Sleeve band day! After realising that the sleeve bands are pleated and not eased at the tight points I decided to redo them to better resemble the original dress, this took all day but am happy to announce that they are finished! *pictured is the bodice with the sleeves put in, please note the bodice is not made to fit me!
03.02.19 | good morning
