98. Production-Made Skeksis Sword - Sold on Propstore.com

"A production-made Skeksis sword from Jim Henson's and Frank Oz' The Dark Crystal. Skeksis settled their disputes with a ritual known as the Trial by Stone, in which the feuding Skeksis would take turns striking the Haakskeekhah Stone with large swords, with the winner being whichever Skeksis hacked off the largest chunk of the stone.

This metal sword, while cast from the same molds at the same time as those seen in the final cut of the film, differs in its coloring and details. It is painted bronze-color and consists of a long, curved metal blade with jagged hook-like indentations; and an elaborately detailed fiberglass handguard over a wire frame with a gold-color, cord-wrapped handle and a pommel with sculpted talons. It exhibits paint chipping throughout, cracks in the handguard, and small pieces broken off. Dimensions: 64" x 16" x 9" (162.75 cm x 40.75 cm x 23 cm)"

20. Vapour

Prop Sword of Tavolian Players

This prop blade contains a canister in its hilt and a small pipe that releases a cloud of vapour from the tip of the blade and is used in plays celebrating the hagiography of St Daniel of Thester. This sword has been used in many plays and the vapours released have begun to rust the blade.

Due to the somewhat heretical status of St Daniel, it is unwise to perform such plays in the company of Orthodox Lirrans…

Not long after the Archcrown annexed Tavor, a local priest of Lir, Father Melior Daniel of Thester, wrote a treatise detailing his philosophies regarding Holy Water: he asserted that steam and vapour created from liquid water drawn from the River Lir should also be considered holy and therefore could be used in various Lirran cleansing rites. His ideas were adopted by Tavolian independance movement who reportedly used steam to torture their captives.

Local legends tell of a holy sword granted to St Daniel by the Goddess that could exude Holy steam with which he led a rebellion against the Archcrown. Tavolian Lirrans have since adopted Father Melior Daniel as a Saint of Lir, however is canonisation is not recognised by the Choir due to his association with the Tavolian Independance movement.

Qamaryia: the Queen among Kings

I finally finished a piece I’ve been doing on TikTok livestream and it’s of one of my newest OCs, Qamaryia! Qamaryia’s story is fascinating as she is the first ruler of Daytria who is a woman (they follow male preference succession). Her rule was challenging, having to constantly fight rebels and pretenders for her throne while maintaining the kingdom economically and diplomatically among other things.

i love swords so much oh my cod—

anyway so here’s my swords (: bottom is Deathwish (74cm) and my only finished sword. you can take out the gem thing in the hilt and swap it out for another colour or design (there was a red shattered one but i lost it ): ) it’s really comfy to hold but is fragile as shit because of the centre wooden dowel ): i connected two dowels and reinforced it inside the blade but it broke anyway.

fixed it, covered it up the wound with wood shavings and painted over it xd

and the other one is probably going to be Archaion’s Salvation (79cm), the sword Lorekeeper uses. i have a gold chain that i’m going to drape over the hilt and wrap it around the pommel

i want to make Vessel’s sword in EIA for cosplay reasons. wanna call it Arcadian Eclipse (: it’ll probably end up being shorter than these two because of the length of the dowel i have

So I'm already preparing for Halloween (shuttup, I know it's July) but I felt I should share my prop sword! It's not totally book accurate but I did the best I could!

(Yes I used my pillow to prop it up, sue me I don't have a setup)
