My sister came to Elsewhere eight years ago and disappeared. My sibling came three years ago and never returned. Today I received a letter from the Elsewhere University Admissions Office after all of my other letters disappeared.

You still don’t have to attend, however much Elsewhere wants you. Reach out to your other prospective universities by phone or email, which are less subject to this kind of interference. You have options. There must always be a choice.

Send help please, I am petrified, but, I am curious to know your stories, are they horror stories? Success stories? Unfinished stories like mine? Let me know about your University/ college stories I'm curious. Did they work out?

Peeking into a faculty panel speaking to the admits, the grad student ruefully chuckles at their wildly cheerful overview of the program.

Ignoring the admits during a department-funded dinner, the grad student obsessively focuses on having his best meal in months.

List of things I want to do at uni

-do taster sessions of any club/society that even vaguely interests me

- work placement

-look into getting an industry mentor

-do an employability award

-get internships/part time jobs in summer

-make sure to have a good relationship with mentors and lecturer's

-go to careers fair

-do a semester abroad

-make the most of Freshers week (I'm going to make a separate post about that)

-volunteer

-plan ahead

-network with peers and alumni

-manage finances (I'm making a separate post about this as well)

-attend workshops and networking events

-free language course

-take part in research

-get a part time job ideally through the uni

-be in a sports team

-get a role in the student union (course rep or something)

-do gold dofe (I'm thinking I could volunteer as a swim coach for my volunteering then for my skills section it would be learning to be a swimming coach and for my sport section it could be swimming that way it wouldn't be too many random activities (or something along these lines) then for my residential section I could do woofing or something similar)

Today's absurdity: I expressed the MILDEST amount of interest in this college in high school, but never applied. Several years later, when I have already earned two separate degrees, now they wanna follow up and invite me to tour campus? I am so perplexed! Y'all are so late! How does your prospective student mailing list become seven years delayed???
