I have been saying this for FOREVER and will continue to say this until people actually fucking understand- ACCUSING REAL LIFE PEOPLE OF QUEERBAITING ACTIVELY HARMS QUEER PEOPLE. The Kit Connor situation is a perfect example of it. STOP DOING IT. You should only ever accuse writers of FICTION of queerbaiting. It especially harms and tends to force bi people to come out early. Shut the fuck up and let people figure their shit out and say what they wanna say when they wanna say it. You are not owed ANY information about peoples’ orientations.

SO MANY people who are accused of queerbaiting end up coming out as queer that even if there are a select few who are really doing it- you know what? It’s NOT WORTH IT to force the large percentage of people who are really queer out of the closet early

hey uh PSA—I really don’t like it when people trigger tag my posts about being queer. “q slur” is super insensitive and was started by TERFs, and “q word” makes queer sound like it’s as bad as the r word.

if you’ve been asked to use either of those tags on all posts about queerness, or absolutely refuse to stop, then please just don’t reblog any of my posts about queerness period. thanks for your time 💖
