Introducing to you one of our current projects: COMPASS (COordination on Mobile Pandemic Apps best practice and Solution Sharing), which strives to establish a catalogue of best practice guidelines for the creation of health apps in the context of pandemic situations (such as COVID). With these principles, we hope, we shall be able to encounter similar scenarios in the future even more effectively than before.
This is a day late but I promise I will start posting regularly :)
For my Human Development class, we had to choose an injury/maladie (I can’t seem to find the right word in English, sorry about that) that affects the brain and the overall development of a human being. Examples were depression, anxiety, and a few others and I decided to choose PTSD! I know that PTSD is very common in soldiers and the like but I also wanted to raise awareness kind of, I guess, that PTSD exists in people that aren’t soldiers. These civilians (I am trying to refrain myself from saying “normal people” because soldiers are still human beings) suffer from PTSD because they have seen domestic violence/abuse, have been raped, suffered from other types of abuse and a lot more scenarios that are often dismissed as “they are exaggerating”. I do not have PTSD because I am lucky to be raised in a caring environment where I have the support I need but I know that is not the case for many, especially those that are stuck at home and feeling unsafe during these turbulent times when school/going out/friends were their only escape. If you ever need someone to talk to/want someone to listen, I am always open to talk :)
Please remember to take care of each other and of yourselves! Everyone needs support during these times.
As part of my research for university I have to conduct a questionnaire, the topic is on harassment within pubs and bars and who is responsible for it. please could anyone who feels comfortable to do so fill it in? it would be greatly appreciated, all answers are anonymous.
The rhythmicity project by @monad_studio is a design exploration on rhythmical patterns of growth found in temporal processes of species in Florida. According to the design team observations of the strangler fig trees for instance shows that they grow aerial roots attaching themselves to the host trees depriving it of life in the long run. The design concerns itself with the expression of a symbiotic system’s ability to augment robustness of an assemblage with its host. . #researchproject #concept #conceptdesign #monadstudio #3dprint #3dprinting #3dprinted #maquette #fabrication #digitalfabrication #fabricate #digitaldesign #design #designer #parametric #grasshopper3d #rhinoceros3d #parametricarchitecture #parametricdesign #parametricism #architecture #architect #mimar #mimarlik #architectureporn (at Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bssh--elC2_/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1p7g1yibkg5y7

ICD/ITKE Research Pavilion 2016/7 constructed by Drones and Robots in #Stuttgart #Germany. Drones and robots weave carbon-fibre pavilion based on moth webs. Researchers and students from the University of Stuttgart have used robots and drones to weave this carbon-fibre pavilion, which is based on the silk hammocks spun by moth larvae. The 12-metre-long cantilevering structure known as the ICD/ITKE Research Pavilion 2016/7 is made from over 180 kilometres of woven resin-impregnated glass -and carbon-fibre. It is latest in an annual pavilion series built by students and researchers at the University of Stuttgart, which investigates the capabilities of carbon fibre as a building material by mimicking structures found in the natural world. @icdstuttgart @itke_stuttgart . #research #researchproject #pavilion #installation #digitaldesign #design #designer #parametric #grasshopper3d #rhinoceros3d #parametricarchitecture #parametricdesign #parametricism #architecture #architect #archilovers #architectureporn #mimar #mimarlik #architecturedesign #architectural #designworld #paarchitecture #robots #robotics #roboticarm #drones #drone (at Stuttgart, Germany) https://www.instagram.com/p/BtdPH79l3RM/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=7lzz48v53pz4
🎮✨ E-ATTENDANCE MONITORING SYSTEM WITH POINT-BASED GAMIFICATION: IMPROVING DAILY ATTENDANCE CONSISTENCY AND PUNCTUALITY OF SHS STUDENTS OF CFSI MABALACAT ✨🏫
💭 The Struggle is Real!
Tired with school attendance feeling like a chore? Why not make it a game? 🎮
Ever wanted school attendance to feel less boring? Then get ready, because what we're about to introduce will surely catch your attention. Game on! 💥
😩 Reality Check…!
Let's be honest, waking up early every day in the morning feels like a chore. One may just decide to arrive late, and even consider skipping school once or twice as they think that it is acceptable and has no effect at all, especially if only done a few times.
But here’s the thing... those “few times” can add up, and before you know it, attendance eventually affects not only our grades but also participation, discipline, and motivation itself. 🤦♀️
🖥️ The Old Way Isn’t Working Anymore!
Even though technology is everywhere, many schools, including CFSI Mabalacat, still rely on manual attendance methods like roll calls, paper logs, and endless checking.
Honestly, it is time-consuming, prone to errors, and doesn’t really make students excited to show up.
Let's be real... it’s also boring! 😴
Yes, the traditional methods really helped us before, but times have changed! Don’t you think that it’s time to upgrade and make attendance something fun and exciting for the students to look forward to?
So, what if we add a little twist? ✨
Just imagine seeing your name... or even your face on leaderboards, having the highest points, badges, and the confidence to brag to your friends.
Sounds fun, right? 😎
That’s exactly what our research is about! We’re proud to introduce our study: ✨ “E-Attendance Monitoring System with Point-Based Gamification” ✨
🎯 What Makes our System Special?
It's not just a simple attendance system.
It's a system designed to turn attendance into something you’ll actually look forward to.
Every time you come to school on time, you earn points, badges, and maybe even special privileges like a Wash Day or free-time pass. 🎁
Think of it as a mini-game where consistency equals rewards. The more you show up, the higher you rank. And who doesn’t love a good leaderboard challenge? 🏅
Think of it as a way to level up your so-called ✨High School life✨, one morning at a time! 🤯
👩🏫 Teachers win too! 🤩 The system saves time, removes errors, and keeps everything organized automatically.
No more piles of attendance sheets or wasted minutes calling names.
Just quick, easy, and accurate tracking that lets everyone focus on what really matters… learning and having fun! 💡
🎯 Our goal is to make attendance interesting and help students become more punctual and consistent at Children of Fatima School Mabalacat, Inc. by blending technology, motivation, and fun. 😉
With this system, we hope to turn attendance from a boring task 😫.. into something rewarding 🏆.
It encourages responsibility, adds a bit of friendly competition, and makes every student feel recognized for their effort in showing up and giving their best.
Because in our study, showing up is the first step to leveling up. 😏
🚀 Let’s Make Attendance Fun Again!
So, what are we waiting for? It’s time to make attendance fun and exciting. 🤩
With our E-Attendance Point-Based Monitoring System, coming to school on time can earn you points, rewards, and even recognition.
Let’s start showing up not because we have to, but because we want to.
Let’s make every day count! ✨
💡 In Short…
Our research makes attendance less of a task and more of a thrill.
It builds discipline, encourages punctuality, and adds a ✨sprinkle of friendly competition✨ to every school day.
Because in our study, showing up isn’t just a responsibility, it’s a game worth playing! 🎮😌
