hmmmm... I didn't get heavily into a new fandom this year; my big 3 (WoT, WN, TLT) are all 2020 or earlier obsessions. I enjoyed ALOTO as a show, but... yeah, I don't know
10. Biggest fandom disappointment of the year
no WoT season 2 release date, no release of the WoT season 2 clips that aired at cons, no WoT Origins season 2 release (what happened to that August release date??), very few WoT casting confirmations (we Know whose descriptions half the people you've cast fit, just confirm them already), the obvious prioritization of RoP over WoT and the advertising effort that WoT sure didn't receive, and-
21. Overall favorite fandoms of the year
WoT introduced me to some of my best friends, and Warrior Nun hit such a specific emotional niche for me and has me creating more fervently than I have in a while (and I've been getting to know some neat people through it as well)
Murphy also is super awkward and is one of those people who tries to joke about trauma but instead she gets side eyes and then she just nervously gets quiet. One thing about Murphy is she tries to be social and extroverted but then the moment she feels like something she did something to ruin the mood, she gets quiet and shrinks back. Jack tries to laugh at her jokes and stuff but even then, there are some times where he's so shocked and baffled he can't laugh. Like, the RFG are having one of their big parties and the girls are gossiping about their exes and stuff and the guys join in.
Murphy: "Hahaha! Yeah, I totally get that. My ex boyfriend wasn't too bad, he mostly just ignored me. You know, unless he was drunk."
and everyone kinda stops laughing and looks at her and Jack just smiles at her but she can tell he's embarrassed so she looks down at the ground and is all: "I-I'm sorry...Does anyone need punch refills?"
Then Wildcard jumps in with an actual joke and everyone starts laughing and then he goes to help her and he's all: "Hey, you're fine! Everyone has bad jokes!"
Murphy: "Thanks Dom, but I think my jokes are always gonna be bad..."
and then Jack just asks if she's okay because he honestly doesn't know when she's joking or if she's actually talking about her trauma and she just is all: "No, no- I was just trying to join in...I'm okay, I promise!"
"Alright, just...try not to joke about things like that. It makes a lot of people uncomfortable and I get...worried when ya say stuff like that."
"You shouldn't, after all, you killed him."
and then he laughs and she brightens up and he's all: "See? You can make people laugh!"
But yeah, she just tries her best but she has so much bad things happen to her that its hard for her to read social cues because she tries to make light of everything.
How I feel about this character
Blake: Deeply obsessed. Love. Love pretty much everything about her. The single most character from RWBY I relate the most to
Weiss: My baby has grown so much 😭! I think she’s has some of the best character development in the show and has grown the most out of all of team RWBY. She’s really grown on me personally and I adore her AND her sass. Mostly her sass.
All the people I ship romantically with this character
Blake: Bumbleby is peak romance and I have trouble picturing Blake or Yang In Love with anyone else. That being said, I do like Blake/Ilia but in the exs/past lovers/bisexual awakening context.
Weiss: I don’t really have an OTP for Weiss. That being said, my favorite Weiss ships are Schneekos, Freezerburn and ace Whiterose (I can see her and Ruby being together romantically but not sexually...I can’t really see Ruby being with anyone sexually.)
My non-romantic OTP for this character
This answer is for both Blake and Weiss: Monochrome. I do like some ships where Blake and Weiss get together like Bees Schnees but I don’t really ship them as a pair. Do I think there could be sexual attraction between them? Yes. Do I think they care about each other? Yes. Do I think they could fall in love? No. I’m a huge fan of platonic monochrome though.
My unpopular opinion about this character
Blake: I think in recent fights the show makes Blake look weaker than she actually is. I don’t like how often she has needed to be saved. I’m not even referring to Adam. Yang had to save her in the Ace Ops fight. Ruby had to save her from the acid grimm. There’s been other instances as well. She’s not a damsel by ANY MEANS. She’s about as far as you can get from it. She’s one of the most independent and competent out of team RWBY/JNRO.
Weiss: I don’t really think I have any unpopular opinions about her
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

Weiss: I wish we got more Weiss/Pyrrha interactions. I also hope we get more Blake/Weiss interactions
“I love you... but you’re an idiot” Rat King told me bluntly. I furrowed my eyebrows and pouted “Malachai is the leader of the Ghoulies” Rat King said putting me out of my misery
“Oh... ooh... oooohhhh” I said getting it “wait he’s what?” I asked hoping to get it confirmed

"He's the Ghoulie leader" he repeated. I absorbed the information. I was a serpent 'princess' yet I was welcomed into the House of the Dead? I sighed
"Damn. Y'know, my life just keeps getting more and more complicated" I stated "I really should've guessed" I told RK
"Yes, you should've" RK immediately agreed "I mean, didn't your dad ever tell you who the leaders were?" Rat King asked. I sighed
"No, he doesn't want me involved in 'gang related things'. Though I probably would've been better off if he just let me know about this type of stuff" I complained. Rat King hummed. Just then a familiar boy with the name 'Reggie' walked around a corner into my line of sight. I huffed "hey, I've got to go Arat" I said not wanting to address him by RK or Rat King
"Alright. I'll talk to you later" he agreed hanging up on me. I shoved my phone back into my pocket and leaned against the lockers relaxing. Reggie's gaze landed on me and he smirked, my frown only deepened in return
"Nugget, just the lady I wanted to see" he stated smoothly. I sighed through my nose and my shoulders rolled. I clicked my tongue
"Mantle. Just the boy I did not want to see" I greeted rolling my eyes "what is it?" I asked him and he tilted his head innocently. Reggie shrugged
"Just wanted to talk for a while" he said but by the flicker of his eyes I could tell it was a lie. My eyes glanced to the place his eyes had shifted to and I noticed his friends were there. My eyes slanted at Reggie in suspicion. He took a step closer to me and put a hand on the lockers beside my head. My eyes flicked to his hand "get to know you better" he shrugged nonchalantly. I hummed
"we gonna play 21 questions?" I asked sarcastically, a pout on my lips "yeah, I doubt it" I said calmly. Reggie gave me an sly face
"we could get to know each other in different ways" he stated leaning even closer. I scoffed getting off the lockers and stepped sideways out of his grip, into my own personal space.
"yeah, I don't think so" I declined. I went to walk away when Reggie grabbed my wrist, twisting me to look at him "Reggie, I swear I will break your arm if you don't let me go" I growled to him quietly. He released my wrist holding his hands up in mock surrender. I growled to myself in annoyance. He was seriously getting on my nerves. The bell went. I had... science if I remembered correctly.
I walked into the classroom and Jug gave me a look and I raised an eyebrow. I slipped into the seat beside him and leaned my arm on his shoulder. He rolled his eyes
“What happened, Juggy?” I inquired. His eyes flicked to the bruise on my face and his eyes sparked like a lightbulb just went off in his head
“I’ll tell you if you tell me” he said nodding to the bruise. I lifted a hand running my hand over the injury slowly. I shrugged
“No deal then” I said casually. Jug groaned and I sent him a smirk “I know you’ll tell me eventually” I stated. He sent me a challenging glare and opened his mouth when I shushed him by putting my hand over his mouth
“We were wondering, Cheryl. Back in July, you told the po-po that Jason drowned" Ginger said perched on top of Cheryl’s desk. Jughead heard it as well and I took my hand off his mouth slowly
“Yet, we come to find out that Jason didn't drown. He was shot. That's slightly suspicious, no?" Tina asked sarcastically. Jughead’s eyes shifted to me and I sent him a smirk in return
“Are you living mannequins suggesting I had something to do with my brother's death?” Cheryl asked in an all too cheery voice for it to not be sarcastic
“We're just curious. What do the police think happened?" Ginger asked tilting her head
"I'll tell you what I told them, which is that Jason did fall into the water. We both did. I made it to the shore. He didn't. Maybe he made it to the other side of the river and someone shot him there. Who knows?” She asked and I could hear the panic and worry in her tone
“Seats, everyone. Pair off, gloves on, scalpels up” the teacher announced walking into the class room. I stood up looking around at the pairs
“Can I be with Cheryl?” Archie asked and I sent him a look
"Can I be alone?" I inquired. The teacher looked at me shaking their head. I shrugged "worth a try" I muttered to myself.
“And I wanna be with Betty" Veronica stated cutting in. I looked at her
"Oh, uh, I was thinking I'd partner with Kevin" Betty said reluctantly. Were they fighting?
"Actually, uh, Keller's with me. We, like, talked" Moose said to Betty. What was going on there? You miss one dance and everything goes nuts.
"Oh, God" Kevin said looking at Betty.
"Uh, Nugget?" Betty said hopefully. I shrugged unsure but she was giving me puppy dog eyes. I sighed
"No can do" I stated with a shrug "I'm working with a Juggy" I told her and as I looked at Betty I could practically hear her internal screaming. Betty moved to the next seat over and Veronica slid next in next to her
"Once again, fate throws us together" Veronica and I silently laughed and sat with Jughead again. He sent me a look and I smirked

I sighed as the song ended. I heard something past the headphones and paused the music. It was a voice
"-ery good place right now, Mr. Andrews" I took off my headphones and everything was much clearer "Varsity football, AP music tutorials" Weatherbee stated. I stood up and peeked around the corner of the building where Weatherbee and Archie speaking "This morning, in the hallway, you wouldn't meet my eyes. Why?" Weatherbee asked
"I-I was distracted. I wasn't feeling well" Archie obviously lied. I was feeling a little nervous for him
"Archie... If there's something you want to get off your chest, perhaps about Jason, now would be the time" Weatherbee said suggestively. I walked around the corner
"actually Mr. Weatherbee" I said rubbing the back of my neck. The two turned to me "that was my fault" I told him with a smile "I stole his guitar a few minutes before your announcement as a joke and I guess he was looking for me" I shrugged. Archie furrowed his eyebrows at me and I sent him a look
"Oh, I apologise Mr. Andrews" Weatherbee apologised to Archie before heading out. I sent Archie a sigh
"You need to get your stuff together" I warned Archie "Ms Grundy'll go to jail and you’ll get in trouble for not telling anyone about the fourth" I warned. Archie covered my mouth and I scoffed into his hand
"Be quiet" he said. I raised an eyebrow and shoved his hand off
"Listen, I don't want to get you in trouble. You need to go to Ms Grundy and sort out what you want to do" I stated firmly "Ask her if what you both have is real. But more importantly, make sure no one sees you guys. You talk way too openly" I warned. Archie nodded slowly at first but then nodded quicker
"Thanks, Nugget" he said putting a hand on my shoulder. I stepped out of his hold and gave a mocking bow
"It's what I do" I stated "now go talk to her" I ordered. Archie ran off stumbling and I snickered at him. Damn idiot had to get his head together if he didn’t want to get caught.
