Batman and Robin (13 y.o.) were fighting Arkham prisoners during a wild prison break. It was going well until Robin tugged his father's cape to show off a minor flesh wound.

Robin!Dick: Batman, I got stabbed in the hand.

Batman punched a goon unconscious, then went over to Robin and examined his bleeding gloved hand.

Robin!Dick (calm): It hurts a lot... Ouch. I don't want to fight that weirdo anymore. But I’ll be okay, away from the blood. It feels like a really bad paper cut.

Batman: Who did this to you?

Robin!Dick: Mmm, Crazy Quilt swiped my hand with a tiny knife. I’m pretty sure it was a fabric knife. He made it extra sharp, I can tell because— Batman, you okay?

Batman filled with fatherly rage glared at Crazy Quilt.

Batman: Yes, yes. You stay here, my faithful sidekick. I’m going to talk to the Quilt man.

Batman left Robin, seething but filled with tranquil fury, and headed toward Crazy Quilt. Crazy Quilt noticed the man radiating a tense, unfamiliar aura and locked up in fear.

Robin!Dick: Oh okay, his name is Crazy Quilt— And you're punching him. Hm… He’s hitting him a lot. Neat.

Robin shrugged, then pulled out some gauze from his own suit pocket.

Robin!Dick (not looking up): Hi, Edward.

Riddler snuck behind Robin, ready to strike, but seeing Crazy Quilt get the beat-down made him pause.

Riddler: Hey, kid, you said that’s like your dad, right?

Robin (while tending to his hand): Yep, he’s my papa. I can fight well, but when I get hurt like this, he goes into papa bear mode.

Riddler: Yeah… Yeah, I don’t doubt that. I’m just going to not hurt you. I give up. Yeah, that's a smart choice.

Poison Ivy walked over, munching on pork rinds, witnessing the savage beating on Crazy Quilt, and anyone who tried to jump Batman at that moment.

Poison Ivy: And you swear he doesn’t do the same to you?

Robin!Dick: Scouts honor. You’re eating the fancy pork rinds! Are they as good as last time?

Poison Ivy nodded.

Robin!Dick: Yay! I knew you'd like them. Oh, while you guys are here, can I interview you for a project at school?

Riddler: Yeah, sure. We’re already in prison, and once he’s done with Quilt, this prison riot will be over.
